We hear there were 86,000 orders submitted for 2023's before they closed the Order Bank. We're not even sure if this also includes unfullfilled 2022 orders that have rolled over. How can they even hope to meet demand if they can't keep the assembly line rolling full-tilt non-stop?
It definitely does include the 22 roll orders because they were placed again as a new order. It's up to the dealer to give them a priority 10 and give brand new orders something higher than 10. When Ford looks at the 23 orders they will pick through the 23 orders that are priority 10. If an order has a lot of constraints or the dealer has very few allotments, they might not get chosen right away or worse.

CRC says my Private Offer expires on Jan. 4 for my rollover.

Even if 2023 builds start in November that offer is likely worthless.

I've waited almost a year now with zilch to show, not even a VIN or scheduled date. A Hybrid with CP360 probably is a double-constraint-whammy, but that what I want. Hell could freeze over first I'm afraid. 😟 👿

Got my vin, production dates keep shifting farther out, latest production date is November 14th, so heaven knows when the 23 lines will really start!
I just had my 10/10/2022 scheduled build pushed to 10/17/2022 with an email that in part said "we will keep you posted"😂😂😂

I had to sell my sole to the devil to get my 22 Hybrid XL Velocity Blue with co-pilot360, spray in bed liner and hitch. Ordered on July 22, 2021, built on Feb 22, 2022, in my driveway on March 23, 2022. I added the cruise switches and a power tail gate lock. Just under 5k miles now. For all those waiting, it's worth it! On a side note, I ordered another one, a 2023 Hybrid XL Atlas Blue, I'll decide which one to sell if I ever get it.

Ordered my XL hybrid on Oct. 25, 2021. Reordered a 2023 XLT hybrid on Sept. 16, 2022. So now over a year with nothing more than order confirmations. Never issued a VIN or build date. Is it the Co-Pilot 360 that has this in permanent hold status? Really don't want to pass on that feature.

The CP360 is part of the problem, but also ordering a low margin XL. If Ford can only build one truck and they have two orders, it's going to be the higher profit one.

As we approach one year, I question how this is possible. I purchased the truck 11/4/21 and am still waiting for it to arrive. Insanity - don't believe anything
Are you like me... never were issued a VIN or build date. Only have received the generic Ford e-mails?

If you are, you are. Nothing I can do to change that.
Ah, good old 'American Exceptionism' rears its head...

I once did an exercise with the 11 pilots in my Army aviation aeroscout platoon. I sat everyone in a circle, and handed them a piece of paper and a pencil, and asked them to rank-order the pilots in the room from "best pilot" to "worst pilot." It took a while, and they really put a lot of thought into it. But when everyone finally finished their list, I collected the papers and shredded them. I then asked everyone to close their eyes and raise their right arm. Then I asked then to lower their arm IF (and only if) they had not ranked themselves in the top-3... Not one arm moved. I then had them open their eyes and look around. Total shock and disbelief on everyone's face. Every single one of them saw the person they had ranked dead last in ability had clearly ranked themselves in the top-3 group.

I pointed out that statistically, it was impossible for 11 pilots to ALL be in the "top-3" tier, and that they should seriously consider whether they really were as good as they thought they were, because at least 8 of them were wrong! In fact, 73% of them had over-rated their abilities – some by a significant factor...

We then had a lengthy (and quite interesting) discussion about what we might ALL do differently once we acknowledged that we may not be quite as good as we think we are... Risks we might not take. Missions we might not accept. Missions we might fly differently to reduce the danger factor, now that we realized we might just not be quite as good of pilots as we thought we were... It was a really amazing experience, and has left me a lot more humble about not only my own abilities, but the abilities of those around me. Statistically, half the drivers you pass on the road are below-average in driving ability.
