I don't think you realize how big of a deal it is that me, you, and lots of others that ordered in June and July are getting rolled over to 2023. It's a HUGE deal and HUGE problem. There should be articles about it from major news sources. I ordered before 99.9% of the country ordered and won't even get one. You ordered before 98% of the country ordered and won't get one. Lots of others are in the same boat.

There are people that ordered in January that got scheduled a week or even ONE DAY later, but us June and July orders not only aren't getting scheduled...we are told to wait until the NEXT model year.

It's a HUGE fucking deal.

But the fact that it hasn't happened yet at a major dealership...no one gives a fuck.
Don't get me wrong my friend, I am as upset as you are. Maybe more so because unlike you, I'm an old guy (73). Waiting a year for me is much different than it is for you. Consequently, you can get mad but I adapt. Once I was told I had to wait longer than I already have waited I decided to do something positive - I bought another truck. I don't have the time in my life to try to deal with things I have no control over. I learned long ago to take the situation you are given and make the most of it. And believe me, no longer worrying about the Maverick and buying that Ridgeline is one of the best moves I've ever made.

I believe that Ford may have some legitimate excuses. Maybe they don't have the necessary supply of chips. Maybe splash guards and SIBL are not to be found anywhere. But where they fail my patience is in their lack of communication and customer service. There are a million ways they could have reached out to me since last June but they have not - not once and not in any way. For this they lost me as a customer, not only for now but forever. Listen to someone a little older than you I'm sure. Don't get sick over a freaking truck. You seem to be going way beyond the disappointment stage. It's not fair, I know that. You and I have been screwed by an inept system. But stomach in, chest out and deal with it. If not getting this truck this year is your biggest cross to bear in life, consider yourself lucky.

Hey man. Keep the swearing to a minimum please. Think about the kids.
I will clean it up and summarize. Ford is a bunch of poopy faces. Now onto my next task, after this years Super Bowl “entertainment”, I have contacted the NFL and next years halftime will bring back Up With People !

I already have that exact build minus the wheels. Found mine on a train from Mexico and jumped on it! Took over a month to get to Florida. Have had it a week and getting 44.2 MPG. I'm still waiting on the truck I ordered on 8 Sept 22, to get a build date. I'm buying that one too!!

I'm am beyond confused at Ford's scheduling process. This is my exact build, from the same exact dealer but ordered over a month after mine and I am still somehow unscheduled.
I'm pretty sure everytime you change your order it automatically resets the "Ordered" date
When was the last time you changed your order
"Area 51 Alto Blue XLT - Hybrid/Lux/CP360" ?

The wisdom here is priceless. Not intending to disregard everybody's disappointment, just saying health & contentment can be a choice.

Watches and ,..... those pills in mine. Guess I can pop a few and ride in an electric Chevy Silverado that has been lifted.

From your signature line, it appears you changed the color. When did you do that? ? Could that change be your issue?

You know how much I love you all. Well, most of you. But if I were Ford god (little g), I would give my buddy @Delzona the very next Maverick to roll off the assembly line and send him a Built email.

I keep hoping it's his week every Thursday.

I admire your calmness and willingness to move on, I wish I could, but the thing is, if we do nothing, say nothing, or simply move on and buy something else...Ford and the slimy dealers doing mark ups, win.

With each passing week, my desire to own a Maverick goes down a little bit more. It started a long time ago because I was one of the first to order and thought I'd be one of the first to drive one. I had different accessories and add-ons picked out, decals, other modification ideas...it was also going to be the first new vehicle I ever bought in my life. I have always dreamed of owning a vehicle during a year BEFORE the actual model year.

But...those dreams are now long gone.

The only reason I've stuck around and haven't cancelled my order...is solely out of spite. I'm not letting my dealer resell my order, and I'm paying with cash so they will make as little money as possible off me.

I don't even want the damn truck anymore.

Now...it's personal.

This was the week I chose not to check at all, so I get back from my workout at night just to check emails (forgetting it was Thursday) so a pleasant surprise for sure. And no I didn't squeal like a little girl....

From what i've read, it only resets if you change the trim, not color or even powertrain.
So XL to XLT resets the clock.
XL Hybrid to XL Ecoboost does not.
Color or feature change (drop Berliner etc) does not reset.
