Ok sure but the claim in the original post was not accurate. The dealer did not correctly say "no more of our orders are being built"

It seems like new cars are more expensive in general in Brazil. Chevy S10 appears to start at over $50k and even Corolla's are higher.

It totally makes sense to schedule a bunch of hybrids from March to April production and then stop completely for the rest of the year. So yeah this post is probably legit.

So I'm probably in the ballpark. Maybe 80% of pre-sept orders haven't been scheduled yet, but I'm thinking we are pretty close. Basically my point of my original post was that they are not really behind the curve that much overall. This was a very popular new launch that probably had 6 months...

Hmmm I think I've heard this before, like maybe once or twice a week lol. And then immediately see a ton of new hybrids scheduled each week. I call BS on dealer.. Gotta love these "my dealer told me" threads.

My totally back of the envelope ball-park estimates based on very limited and imperfect data. For hybrids: 65% of orders were placed by August 31st. Of those, 80% have been scheduled for production. So if you add in the smattering of September and later orders scheduled, I'm estimating that 60%...

Of course it will, because they are being built at different rates. It will not change your relative standing as far as order date goes though (allocations and other things notwithstanding)

From what i've read, it only resets if you change the trim, not color or even powertrain. So XL to XLT resets the clock. XL Hybrid to XL Ecoboost does not. Color or feature change (drop Berliner etc) does not reset.

At least one of my co-workers just got the email! XLT Hybrid...i dont have the rest of the details yet....western MA medium volume dealer ordered early September. Edit: another coworker! XL Hybrid with just the tow hitch September 15th!

I've got several co-workers who ordered hybrids between late August and early October. If they get their emails today, work is going to slow down quite a bit!

That was reservations, not orders. Some educated guesses put the conversions to order rate at between 20 and 40 thousand at the time.

(Dropping this from another thread) Good news! According to my dealership 6 of their 7 September Hybrid orders and an October 2nd order they have were bumped up to priority 2 as of this morning. This should be a sweet scheduling week for September hybrid folks!

Yup! It does have co-pilot. I forgot to mention in post, non-lux. Springfield area This is a large dealer with presumably many orders. Its not the same dealer I ordered from though so I don't know their numbers. Now that I look at this thread and see no other hybrids even close to this date...
