This is no big deal and not unexpected. They have already scheduled builds through practically all of February already so they are well ahead where three weeks off wont hurt anything. When they pick back up week of January 8th, they'll pick up right where they left off. Its not like we're missing out on anything.
How do you find this out? I mean, I contacted the dealership who I bought mine thru and they haven't even heard that the hybrids had begun production and even some deliveries yet. I forwarded him the Ford comms directors tweet about one dealership receiving their first one from 12/8. Hard to believe he didn't know that production had finally started. He said none of their dealerships orders had VINs yet.

I ordered mine 11/1. Is the que done by order date, obviously first come first serve, but how far down the que are they in scheduling builds? I'm woefully ignorant, first new car, first Ford, first special order. The salesman seems of no use in telling me how it works. Would enjoy some education to help make my patience last longer 🤣 I'm just so excited and would like a better grasp on when I might expect them to start November reservations. Ideally I'd sell my current car beforehand, but I don't want to sell it too soon, ya know.

Any more information on the process would be greatly appreciated. Or even a link to an existing thread about it.

Thanks!

As a First Time Ford Buyer ( potentially - choice is theirs ) I have to say this is a miserable experience and maddening to read of all the others banging their heads against a wall week after week.

Ford really needs to UP the communication with customers with confirmed Orders. Not everyone has the luxury of waiting months on end with only hope of an e-mail showing up . I have a couple months tops to play this stress game .... and then i'll walk away if need be, Never to look back.

Ford is Dropping the Ball and not making a good impression ... Finding this forum has certainly stoked my aggravation, but at the same time gave me some understanding this whole waiting game maybe a bit too much in my circumstance .... Time will tell

I ordered my Maverick a few weeks ago and I was expecting a holiday break to happen so I'm not too worried since I am so far out. In the meantime I am keeping an eye on the local market in case something pops up similar to my build.

Hopefully they will use this break in scheduling to clear some of the backlog of trucks completed with the exception of waiting on chips before they can be shipped.

I've been In Production since Dec 13 with a build date of Dec 18. Just put mine on the train before you leave so I can have my Feliz Navidad.

How do you find this out?
Through posts exactly like this. Not sure where they find out or if ford publicly releases it, but every Friday someone creates a post for what upcoming weeks ford will be scheduling. For instance, most likely Friday January 5th, the post will read "Ford Scheduling Week of January 8th for build weeks February 28th - March 7th" or something similar.

My Maverick was scheduled for production the week of dec 13. Here it is Friday the 17 and no email and nothing updated on tracker. ... I hope there's not something going on that affected my build
Surprise surprise. I just hope this doesn't occur in the month of February. I don't want any delays on my February 7 build week.
Just to clarify...

This has nothing to do with whether they will be building Mavericks during those three weeks. Maybe they will and maybe they won't, but it won't be because of this.

This just means that there won't be any scheduling emails (for future builds) going out in those weeks. "No scheduling this week" doesn't mean "no building this week."

So, for example, if a scheduling pause does occur in the month of February it won't delay @MightyMaverick's February 7 build date.

In fact, this might not indicate any delay at all. They were scheduling all the way out to February 21 this week. When they pick up scheduling again in the week of January 10, most likely they will schedule for February 28 and so on. They're not going to leave the plant idle unless they have some production-related reason for doing so.

I knew the next two weeks probably wouldn't. Surprised by the 3rd though. Guess now I have to hope for my car sitting in my driveway before my birthday in May. Unless they extend the Maverick financing program I'm SOL there.

Hopfully my Jeep won't realize I have money saved and break again. (transmission rebuild two months ago)

This changes nothing. Three weeks of no scheduling doesn’t translate to three weeks of no builds. Ford scheduled into February and will pick up where they left off in January. At least now you can enjoy the holidays without fearing rejection on Thursdays.

Damn. Sucks for those June and July orders that haven't been scheduled yet.

Many of the large dealers (ie Chapman) are out of allocation for the month anyway so not a big deal for some of us.
Not doubting you, but how do you know this?
