Until recently 4 days ago my hybrid 12v battery was fine . Now I’m getting battery saver notice and unable to remote start. Had to jump it 2 times. 26k on the Odom and it’s a 2022. Your battery will eventually die. AGM is on order will be here in 2 days which I will replace the oem with .

I’m curious to know if a continuous WiFi connection has been ruled out.

My 2024 goes into the shop tomorrow. One trip my 12v battery goes from 100% to 30%. It’s probably the battery. I paid for the truck in January but couldn’t pick it up till mid May. I think they just let it sit in the back lot till May and the battery totally depleted. Then charged it prior to my picking it up. Once a battery is totally depleted it will be on its last legs. I’ve been having to put it on the charger every night.

Don’t know the spec for the hybrid but normal vehicle is supposed draw a maximum of .050 amps after being undisturbed for 30 minutes. That would mean about 1.2 amps are used up each day it sits. So if the amp hours rating is known for the battery you can get a rough estimate for how many days before the battery would be dead. After I get mine I am going to monitor the drain for a period of time to see exactly what the value is for the hybrid.

My ‘22 hybrid has always started and only the driver side door unlocks by grabbing the door handle. Passenger side door doesn’t open when in deep sleep mode when you grab the handle, and interior dome lights don’t work.
Question: if I delete Ford app from my phone, will this solve the problem?
Thanks!
I have no idea if deleting the ford app would fix this. I didn’t delete the app. Also, I forget to mention that I didn’t have any dome lights when I opened the door, so it was in deep sleep mode, but it started up no problem.

The lower return MPG isn't due to lower battery - 99% certain. Weather or traffic or ...

We left my Mav for 8-9 days at the airport. ~4 days in I received the notification that features were turned off due to low 12v battery. The drive to the airport was 90+ miles.

Truck started no problems. Didn't have interior lights prior to starting was all. Still waiting for that fix/update from Ford. Never had the truck not start, though and until then I'm not taking it to a dealer or replacing the battery with an AGM on my own dime.
Ditto
Always get a notification after 4+ days sitting however it always starts and I own a 2022 xlt hybrid never charge it or have jumped it. It’s a great truck……

A brand new car with a brand new battery, you should be able to park and leave for 2 - 3 weeks in winter and come back to a perfect startup. I have an eco and haven't let mine sit too long yet, but easily a week here and there. It's just what we should be able to expect of a decently designed vehicle, to do it's primary job, start and drive.

Even though I'm not affected I see enough comments about the hybrid to think that there is a potential defect in the battery use or as you stated bad batteries from the factory. But again, this is a new vehicle, the owners shouldn't have to troubleshooting that crap. Seems like some where getting the run around vs solid service of a thorough battery check and potential replacement.

I have a 22 hybrid Lariat. Last winter we were snow bound for 9 days and could not get out of the driveway. After sitting in the garage without starting it, or messing with it at all, it started like normal.

I do not use FordPass, I do not use Wi-Fi but I do have it paired to my phone via bluetooth. The first week of having the truck, I pulled the fuse for the nosey telematic function (so the 'modem' gets no power, I believe it's fuse #11 in the BCM). The battery is the one that came with the truck.

No other issues noted by pulling that fuse.

I am like....who cares????????? As long as the truck starts up faithfully every time, regardless of how long it could be sitting all by its lonesome self. If the app wants to tell me its in deep sleep, fine...I can still start up using the key fob. As always, the truck takes me wherever I need to go.
Just saw your signature, we were built the same week lol

E: I've personally never had a problem, got the notification once after it was sitting for like a week or so it wouldn't let me remote start but then it got up and went no issues at all as normal

The dome lights are turned off early to save battery. Then deep sleep occurs at soc about 0.3v less don't remember exactly but (11.9v/11.6v). The no dome light can be considered "the early warning".

My truck sat in my garage for 2 weeks while I was on vacation in Scotland. No issues at all when I came home, truck started, all the lights worked.

I've heard so many people talk about the 12V battery issue with their Maverick so I wanted to share my results.

I drove to the airport and left my 2024 Hybrid Maverick parked their for 7 days. When I returned, I unlocked it and it started up with no problems. The only difference I noticed was the MPG for the trip home was 33.9 whereas my avg is 46.9 and this trip would have been about 45 MPG given it was mostly highway with no traffic. I believe the reason for lower MPG was due to the gas engine running throughout the trip home to recharge both the Hybrid and 12V battery given that it was parked for a week.

All in all, I can say that if you have a good battery, you shouldn't have any problems with your Maverick being parked for days. All of this talk about keeping the 12V battery charged while the vehicle is parked for days is overhyped. If the battery is good, it should be just fine. I received my Maverick in Dec of 2023, and never had any issues with my battery and never need to replace it. Those who did, probably had a faulty battery installed during production.
The lower MPG on the return trip was due to colder temperatures, headwinds, higher speed, or a combination of all three.

It was NOT due to the status of your HV battery or 12 volt battery.

I am 100% sure.

The HV battery is SMALL. Very small.
The 12 volt battery is small too.
You did not say how long your trip home was, but I promise you, with certainty, your HV battery is fully recharged in the first 3 to 4 minutes of engine run time. (I have a ScanGauge and this charging process is consistent, over hundreds of cycles.)

I your trip home was less then 4 minutes, then I'm willing to entertain your wild theory.

Second, while the 12v battery does lose charge while just sitting, it takes a TRIVIAL amount of energy to recharge it, and it usually recharges very slowly over HOURS.

In reality, it takes trivial gasoline to recharge either, or both batteries. Too small to notice. Unless you did a really short, 2 mile / 4 minute trip. Then you MAY notice a low "trip" MPG, but your overall tank MPG would be immeasurably affected.

If my ecoboost sits for four days the lights will not come on either. It's not just the hybrids. I've never gotten a deep sleep notification though.

A quick question. Is your battery an AGM?
