@A.Bursell @MABETT

With this being attached to the bumper bolts, I am looking for thoughts on how the crumble zone may be impacted by installing this.
Definitely not an engineer and wouldn't even pretend to be. My uneducated opinion is that it probably has minimal effect, but I don't really know. Everything on cars now is designed to sacrifice itself to save the occupants, and I still think there would be plenty of crumpling happening back there. But I dnt really know specifics.

A piece of sheet aluminum like this, though fairly thick, is going to have minimal effect, especially considering the boron steel frame structure it's attached to. It might get shoved against the rear tire, but that shouldn't be a concern in a crumple event.

So I did my install earlier and came across the same issue of getting one screw in. No matter how loose I left everything else, I couldnt get them all to thread in at the same time. From what I can tell, the issue might actually lie with our trucks. The panel is pivoting against something on the truck. I took it back apart twice trying to figure out what was the issue but got nothing out of it.

Overall opinion, longer screws would probably make most of the problems go away. Thats for both the 19mm and 10mm ones. I know some of yall might say 18mm but none of my 18mm would fit the bolts included.

I can't find the earlier post, but someone mentioned wiring harness interference, and that a 2nd wire clip needed to be popped out so the harness can fit under the plate.

I did undo both clips and tucked the wire above the first plate

Hopefully Mabett will include longer ones with the next batch. The fewer installation headaches the better.

The inspiration for this product came from an earlier post, discussing how to provide protection for the underbody blank area behind the rear left wheel. In addition, many people privately messaged me asking if I could develop a product to provide protection for this area. Meeting the needs of our customers is our mission. Therefore, in the end, we managed to create it.

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of the Mabett Underbody Cavity Shield Cover for Ford Maverick.

Buy directly via the link below, 20% discount exclusive for MTC.

I installed it today and it took a lot longer than I expected. The instructions were hard to interpret while I was laying under my truck and the youtube video of the installation was hard to see the details on a phone while on the ground under the truck. Afterwards, I looked at the youtube video on my PC with the big screen and see that I installed the accessory spring nuts from the wrong side. I dread crawling back under there to change them. My neck still hurts from holding my head in an awkward position to see what I was doing. I'm old and trying to see through the proper part of progressive lenses to see everything is an ordeal.

But I suppose I need to go back under there and fix them correctly.

The shield is Black and mine arrived on a Friday. Doesn't that mean it should qualify for Black Friday?
