Do you ever sleep? You are correct, looks like now that the Luxury Package with the Spray-in Bedliner is closed out and there is a second Luxury Package showing in WBDO (ordering system) with Drop-in Bedliner. Looks like if you order a Luxury Package now it will come with the Drop-in Bedliner instead of the Spray-in Bedliner.
This won't affect any current orders that show the Spray-in Bedliner on their order sheet. If your order sheet shows Spray-in Bedliner, that is what you will get.
I'll wait for official news before I get my torch and pitchfork out, but I would also be a little less than pleased. I haven't dropped my spray-in as I would rather Ford does it to maintain warranty control with the same place (versus if there is a problem with it taking it somewhere else) and because I prefer the look of the logo in the bed, so if I've been waiting with a constrained commodity because of that and get denied after waiting all this time, I wouldn't be happy.
Well Darn. Good for those already ordered, but new orders, bummer. I would suggest to just get the drop in and then go and get your spray in later. I'm not really sure how the drop-in works. Is it molded to the bed and just loose or is it some how adhered to the bed? Or if you order the luxury plan, can you just eliminate the bed liner? You are correct, looks like now that the Luxury Package with the Spray-in Bedliner is closed out and there is a second Luxury Package showing in WBDO (ordering system) with Drop-in Bedliner. Actually, Tim said a buyer's order is best (for you) but the dealer can do it with just a DORA and your drivers license. @huunvubu has a good post on this with the video all cued up. Check the third video in that post. And listen to more than the first few seconds because he explains the buyer's order method first and then the DORA method.Tim did a video outlining how the purchase process worked. He stated that a signed buyer’s order was required when the dealer uploaded the order info into the ROVP.
Did the same. Got the same result as you. Wondered if I was accessing a cached web page?Been reading all the comments. Has anyone gone to Maverick build and price. I just did and XLT Lux package still displays spay in bed liner?![]()
I agree with you. Just seems like when you go to buy gas and the pump price is 50 cents more than price out front.Did the same. Got the same result as you. Wondered if I was accessing a cached web page?
OTOH, maybe Ford hasn't updated the builder yet. It's not binding so it doesn't mean anything.
Absolutely, I didn't mean that an outdated builder is acceptable. I meant only that the fact that the builder still shows spray-in doesn't disprove Tim's (and other's) statements that it's no longer part of the package.I agree with you. Someone who is not paying attention goes to build and price, orders a vehicle and then gets the Oh By The Way when it arrives.
