So I'm seriously thinking about getting a 2025 carbonized grey Mav. I own the first year 2022 Mav XLT with towing package. My dealer says for $45/bi-weekly more, he can get me the exact same build. He says 2 key fobs and keyless entry pad (I guess dealer install? And i thought only 1 key fob now? ). Thoughts? What will I miss from my original? What will I like? If anything... I'm on the fence as there's nothing wrong with my current Maverick (I was even considering purchasing it out right after my lease - I do lease btw). I am thinking, however, it might be nice to have another warranty, etc but, knock on wood, no issues this far. They do seem cheaply built so that's part of my thinking. Also do you think I should try to get him to close the gap between what i currently pay and his proposal? Thanks for any constructive thoughts/considerations you might have.

You lose the cubby 🙂.

Seriously though, and I have a Lariat, I will be losing the heated wiper area on the windshield (was dropped in ‘23 or ‘24), the door keypad (also dropped in ‘24) and the ‘analog’ gauges. I feel the ‘25 instrument cluster is an upgrade for non-FX4 and Lariats, but a downgrade from the Lariat/FX4 cluster; time will tell.

So none of impacts an XLT. For an XLT I feel like everything is positive; other than the price increase.

Intrigued re: losing analog dash ... would you happen to have a pic (anyone?) Of what the 2025 cluster looks like?

As someone who has had a 2023 and has a 2025 on order, unless you are going to opt for the AWD Hybrid I wouldn’t make the switch.

Take the money you were going to spend on the 2025 and put it in a high yield savings or something else.

Agree with this. I need to see a 2025 interior in person. In the pics I’ve seen I don’t think I’m a fan of the new colors of the interior.

By coincidence we are in this exact situation except we own our vehicles outright. Currently have a silver '22 Maverick hybrid XLT, and have a carbonized gray '25 Mav hybrid XLT on order. Nothing wrong with our current one but we can sell it for a good amount and start the warranty, tires, etc all over again. Can't blame you for looking similarly.

Its up to you. For me the big thing and what got me to order a 25 was that the hybrid can now be ordered with AWD and Tow package. Also I like that it will have sync 4 and larger screen.

I'd keep what you have, but I pay cash and keep my vehicles 15- 20 years.

No issues with a first year built? Bro, if it ain't broke don't fix it. Speaking from a guy who just bought a 2025.
I bought two new first year builds being a Dodge Ram and a Nissan Maxima and I had major problems with both of them. The fact that you're not having problems is incredible. Personally I wouldn't touch it yet.

Two reasons I'm not upgrading to 2025 - interior plastics are still quite bad and I don't like the lack of manual HVAC controls. The fluorescent blue accents weren't a dealbreaker but I don't like them either.

I'm hoping for a nicer interior in 2028.

I think you will have a better deal if you wait until the end of your lease, and but your truck. The buy price at the end of your lease is going to be in your favor.
adding $90 a month ($3250) approx, what are you gaining? Talk to Granger about getting a extended warranty from them if you buy out the lease.

No matter what you do you spend/lose money trading up.

Is the extra money worth the extra excitement? Only you can decide.

The 4k AWD hybrid was attractive to me but I tow 3x a year. That's it. Starting from scratch I would have gone 4k hybrid. But it's not worth a trade in to me.

I've proven the 2022 hybrid can tow over 3k on long trips in the mountains so I'm keeping my 22.

One of the nice things about the MY25 XLT is that it now has intelligent access & the push to start button, no need to ever take your key out of your pocket. You do get (2) key fobs.

HRG
Intellient access is HUGE!!!
