I believe you’re correct with the Wildpeak AT4s giving it a run.

It will likely come down to the Open Country vs Destination with an outside chance the Territory RT get some consideration.
We currently have the Open Country on my wifes previously mentioned trailhawk. They are louddddd and wore way faster then the destinations did.

Open Country are unapologetically loud that’s for sure but I’ve found them to wear well on my old Tacoma.

im not a Firestone fan but they’re on the list. I think the Wildpeak AT3s were like 37lbs a tire and the AT4s are even beefier so I likely won’t go that route.

The territory RT from Goodyear look good on the 25 tremors and the territory at on broncos were very light for 35s (load C).

The other usual suspects are on the list as well like Open Country AT and KO2s.
Weight is the other reason I'm thinking of sticking with 225s. Save 5# a tire.

it’s not that big of a difference from 225 to 235 but you’re point is understood. I like the jump up to 235. Maybe even 245 but that would be it.

I’m annoyed in general at the ever increasing size of wheels on most all vehicles these days. They add weight and decrease the ride quality.
I like my tires thick and my wheels just the right size. 17" is fine, 16" is better for Maverick.

Same, but I find it's harder to find a good variety of larger tires for 16" wheels.

I'll be receiving my Lariat hopefully by the end of the month. I've already got some aftermarket 17s with wildpeak at4w's 225/65 tires ready to go. Might take a little mpg hit but I need the stronger tires. I work along the railroad a lot and between ballast and trash that's in the right of way a lot of shit is trying to puncture my tires.

Well, there’s another reason I’m glad I snagged a 2024 AWD Lariat on 12/31/24.
I have 18” wheels.
Stock size is 225/60R18
I will go to 235/60R28

Whoever is unhappy with their oem 19's let me know, I happily swap my 17 XLT ones for yours.

Is not a joke.
Hello, it's probably to late but I have a set of Factory 17 inch wheels off my 2023 XLT with AT tires on them. What are you willing to trade? Thanks

I’m not a huge fan of Firestone either; however, I will be considering them when my wildpeak AT3s are done. I really like everything about the AT3s and was planning on purchasing another set, but now they’ve replaced them with the heavier AT4s. I’m torn now between the Firestone Destination AT2 and the Wildpeak AT trails.

I love my Wildpeak AT Trails. They're a great tire.

Hi. Thanks for the offer, but I have xlt wheels, I was looking for the lariat 19 inch ones. But after mega debating myself about it, i decided is not gonna be cost effective doing such a thing.

Thanks for the offer, and hope you find what you looking for.

Anyone else annoyed that factory size is a 19" on a truck this size? Makes finding an AT tire in that size next to impossible
getting back to what the OP was observing/asking... agreed, although the one tire I did find, a 225/55-19 Falken Wildpeak AT Trail, is not a bad option at all as others already mentioned. it's 3pms rated and should get you offroad anywhere a Maverick on 19" wheels has any right to be. :D

I think that 2025 19" lariat wheel and tire take-offs will pop up for sale, and I do expect them to sell assuming they are priced reasonably. some people wanting the 19s probably won't want the stock tires, though.

there are a bunch of high performance street tires (both all-season and summer tires) in 245/50-19 and since these wheels are 7.5" wide instead of 7" like all the other Maverick wheels, they'll be in demand for lowered street trucks. I have 18x7 factory wheels and it was a royal pain finding any good summer tires- I settled on a 255/55-18 Continental Sportcontact 3 which has actually been a decent tire.

a quick search showed me 14 summer tires in 245/50-19 including a Firestone Firehawk indy 500 (that would be my choice for a HPDE or autocross). and there's at least nine 3pms rated tires in 245/50-19 as well.

many tires in 255/50-19 also, which is not aggressively oversized at 29.0" diameter. still no all-terrain but you have many options for 3pms all-season including the popular CrossClimate2, and there are a bunch of summer tires in that size too. (I saw a 255/50-19 Eagle F1 for $183!)

I found someone somewhat local with Bronco 17" wheels for sale and once the truck shows up if he still has them I plan to low ball him and see if he lets them go.
