I opted for dual ground shaker 10" with the kicker L7T shallow mounts. Much better deal buying (2) Ground Shaker boxes than just one, but hybrids are stuck with one. I'll be anxious to see some reviews of this new option and how it performs.
Got pics? I have an L7T in my current vehicle that's going to need a box transplant when my Hybrid Maverick is delivered. I've been saving links whenever I find a prefabbed box option. I'm almost certain I can't make that enclosure it came in work in the Mav.

That link you posted is a 12" and the Ground Shaker's only offer an 8" or 10" for the Maverick.

Yea, that's what I was worried about 😬

Hopefully I can get creative as the 12" doesn't actually need much box volume... just need to make it fit 😆

Might just have to bite the bullet and downsize, what you posted looks pretty good.

I agree, this is the identical box I will be building for my ps storage area. The box shouldn't cost me more than $50-75 to build.

Note that this box ONLY has 0.45 cubic feet of internal volume. That's going to be a tall order for a 10" to perform well.

Using the shallow mount 10-in kicker which I believe requires 0.50, anything sound better than the non-existent subwoofer that came in my XLT. 😎👍.

The sub will fit ANY maverick, B&O or standard stereo. Crutchfield lists it as not working with the B&O, because they don't want people thinking it is a plug and play replacement for the factory sub. That's my guess anyway. That storage compartment is the same regardless of trim or engine. It is just up to the user to get it connected and powered.

I think JL was trying to let people have their cake and eat it too, by making the sub have a little storage area for people worried about losing under seat storage. By doing that, they made some compromises on air space/sub they used. I do think it is a good solution for some people, and I'm not knocking it. For me, I think the better solution is one of the pre-fab enclosures with more air space and a sub with more bit more arse ;)
I agree, it should still fit the Hybrids. JL’s are very good quality and I have one in my Mustang. I will say most systems I have heard with JLs seem to favor a more narrow range where they hit hard. So I built my own box and stayed with a high performance deep throw 8” by Alpine. I’ve been extremely happy with it along with an amp that I bought from Amazon. I have a Lariat Hybrid with the B&O system. I used the speaker lead feeding the factory sub to feed the amp inputs. It works great and the amp handles the high level input just fine.

Yep. I have 0.7 cubic feet with a Fosgate 10" and it's just too "tight" for my liking. REALLY considering porting through the bed and putting a few subs back there.

old school move there. Seen some pretty awesome setups that make use of the bed that way. It's TONS of free air space.

Tough to give up bed space for work, but if I offset it to one side....

Two 10's or a single 12" would really suffice. I'm a hot rodder and an old school minitrucker so cutting shit doesn't scare me.

I have a single 12" DVC in my Suburban that POUNDS.
