JL Audio Stealth Box released for Maverick

I went with this and a simple Alpine mono amp as someone else posted that it sounded great if you manage expectations. Still able to keep my headrests I think in the passenger cubby and set this in since it’s angled. Might see if it fits behind the seat somewhere. We will see when I get it going next week.

It definitely fits. Another forum user had suggested it and already has one and says it sounds really good in the passenger cubby and I did lay it in there and it fits. Im just waiting on the amp and speaker wire to arrive. I also have a Puzu DSP so it should be a cleaner signal also.

The price of a JL stealth box is worth every penny. The 2 vehicles I had one in hit harder than 2 subs.

I understand it's well engineered, and they make quality subs. It's not just marketing, reputation and hype, they have great products in various technical and price tiers... And each one of their lines is priced much higher than most competitors.

But, come on. This is a 10TW1. We know what they can do. They've been around a long while and there are better shallow mount subs and there are definitely better traditional (non shallow) subs.

This will not outplay a single high performance 8 in a properly sized enclosure, let alone two of them.

It looks cool and I'm sure it would be enough for most people. And it's going to sell because it's a JL.

Everyone can make purchases as they wish but 1k a month for a car payment is crazy. That’s 3/4 of my mortgage!

Stealth boxes have always been expensive but they always sound awesome and look great.

I bought a custom box for 350 and a
Subwoofer is 250 so it’s not far off in price.

I never said I was paying $1000 a month for a Maverick. I’m paying a whole lot less. I got a good deal on mine I didn’t pay MSRP of 36670 24 Tremor XLT Lux. So I like the lower payment so I can tinker with it and not break the bank. I still have both kidneys although I’m getting ready to sell one to upgrade the turbo. I already have an intercooler and cold air intake and fast Maverick downpipe and thermal R&D exhaust… more on the way

Fits nice and hits much harder than expected. I also have a Puzu DSP and I hooked it up to a 200 watt mono Alpine amp. I am almost 50 so my headbanger days are over. I only have it about 1/3 gain and even that might be a bit much for my ears lol. Picture isn’t the best because it’s night time
