My point is that the GM 2.7 turbo is going to make more tq at lower rpm which is desirable when pulling a load.
That is what I thought as well. Guess we'll see how well this AWD hybrid does. I'm definitely curious.

It will probably be a hot seller.
Capability and economy together is very attractive.

Considering that the base model Colorado weighs 500#+ more than the Maverick, with the same hp as the 2.0EB, the reduced tow capacity is understandable.

HRG
probably a little of it, but the main reason for that low rating is GM wants to sell you a higher trim truck. they top out at 6,000 pound towing.

Tow rating is so much more than HP. Gearing, cooling, suspension, hitch, frame...and I'm sure I missed something. The F150 is built with 3 different frame thicknesses depending on configuration. Just because you can move it doesn't mean you can tow it.

I'm more interested in internal operating temps of the hybrid transmission/ICE RPM and longevity than if it can beat a car with another 60hp on it up a mountain.

Honestly though, it's pretty incredible Ford was able to comply with the tow rating spec with the Maverick, assuming longevity issues aren't impacted much. Even more comical is the base model Chevy Colorado with the turbo'd 4 making 237hp is only rated to 3,500 lbs and that is a mid-size truck.
that and MPG

Exactly,
Look at what some 1 ton pickups are hauling down the highway.
I bet anything, 75% of them are overloaded and 50% are grossly overloaded.
More than a few traffic related fatalities because of overloaded pickups.

Interesting thank you
Another clue, Tremor has about 300# less payload than the other Mavericks, softer suspension.
The 4K does have a larger cooling fan and a half gallon (32oz) larger radiator. I had that much coffee this AM.

Don't know where the weak RDU rumor came from but the Idea that the unit with upgraded axles, that handled 350HP in the Focus RS is weak wasn't well thought out.

That 4 banger is a torque monster, diesel like torque, over 350ft#. Better than the Ford 2.7L V6.

My first F150 had 130 hp and 230 pound-feet of torque, yet was rated to tow 7.5K#.

Hopefully this hybrid gets upgraded axles ends and the liquid cooled ptu from the tremor.

Pleading ignorance here, memory fail, does the EB 4K have the liquid cooled PTU? If not I'd bet the Hybrid won't either, if yes then why not. With the supposedly upgraded AWD eCVT I'd expect the axles to be comparable the the EB AWD.
Any clues with the AWD Hybrid having even a FX4 version, again ignorant?

I've driven both and owned neither, and I couldn't disagree more. even the high output 2.7 is Chevy is not close to the usable torque from the Ford 2.7 V6.

the Chevy 2.7 is a huge step up from their naturally aspirated V6, but it's not better than Ford.

I was speaking to the comment on torque, Ford 400# GM 430#
where the Ford wins is HP by 15HP
I am a big fan of the Ford Nano

I think the 4k is aircooled
With a little scoop thingy on the felt covers below.
