They are a stand-up dealership. They offered you an upsell. Tell them No thanks and they'll quote without it. I got a 2023 3% under invoice without any issues as many others have. Granger is top notch.
I bought from Granger in 12/2021. They are an outstanding dealership!! Low fees and no pressure for add-ons. I highly recommend buying from Granger!

Before you go thinking Granger Ford is a standup dealership know the truth. I asked if I any of their dealer ordered Mavericks were going to be offered for MSRP in fall 2023. This was the email reply I got from Chip:

“We're pricing in the lot Mavericks for in-state at $1795 for paint protection and rustproofing over MSRP and out of state would be $5000 over that.”

That was a total stealership answer. He knew I was in a neighboring state. I will never make that short drive to Granger Ford in Iowa. You reap what you sow. Enjoy those 100+ Mavericks sitting on your lot.
This has nothing to do with the deal they are offering, the deal is on a custom ordered Maverick, not dealer stock.

This was the email I sent:

Chip,
I saw on the Ford inventory search that Granger has 8 "Dealer Ordered" Ford Mavericks. Will any of these Mavericks be available for MSRP? Thank you.

This was Chip’s complete answer:

“We're pricing in the lot Mavericks for in-state at $1795 for paint protection and rustproofing over MSRP and out of state would be $5000 over that.”

He wasn’t offering me an “optional” upsell. He was telling me that I would have to pay MSRP+$1795+$5000(notice the “over that”) if I wanted to buy a Maverick from Granger. Stop candy coating the stealership tactics.

After that experience with Granger, their 3% below invoice offer falls flat. I would rather deal with my local Ford dealership that has treated me fairly. I have 3 discount options.

Ask yourself if they are such a great dealership to deal with then why does Granger have “100+ New Ford Mavericks in stock”. That is a lot of Mavericks that people walked away from.

There's a difference between a custom order and dealer stock.

I had planned to go into my local dealer today - probably still will, but this made my decision harder. I sent y'all my build to quote at least so I've got the numbers down on paper.

I guess I may end up being a Granger customer after all!

Beats X-Plan, but not sure about the others. I had intended to use X-Plan, but this is definitely better...
I thought about a Ranger earlier this year. Granger’s price for my build was $100 above D and $200 above AZ. A dealer in my area could match it, but stuff came up that stopped me from moving forward.

I’m 12+ hours from the three forum dealerships (Chapman, Granger, Long McArthur). If you’re in a similar location, check with a volume dealership in your area, maybe one that’s accepted MSRP/AZDX for others per this forum.

Yes but dealers closer may have ridiculous fees. Such is the case with dealers near me, may be different for you though

Dealers will markup popular vehicles that are in their inventory. I just want to order from Ford without a dealer trying to steal my special order or charge me a 15k markup when I go to pick it up. Also it would be nice to find a dealer that does not hack up the wiring to install an alarm or GPS as part of the prep. Difficult in So Cal. My friend ordered a King Ranch from them and it went well.

Thinking about getting the 2025 Hybrid for the AWD and 4k towing. I went on the ford site and put the 50109 zip code in. Grainger was shown in the box but when I hit submit it went to my local dealer. I figured out you have to hit the share button and it gives me a link to send you. :lying:
Yeah, for some reason our dealership does not show up in the ford.com site. You would have to download it as a PDF or email the link to [email protected].

What is the invoice price usually end up being? Is there a price sheet for that to be able to see what a maverick xl or xlt would cost? thanks.

I can't speak to dealer stock pricing on the Maverick. I can tell you on custom orders they deliver exactly what they say and the process is easy. There are no surprises.
