Anyone getting below invoice pricing in NC..

I have a 2021 f150 powerboost hybrid with 6.5 bed that i will trade in … I love the truck but is a bit too heavy for motorhome to pull as a toad.. seems the best 4 wheel tow vehicle is a Maverick awd maverick hybrid…

May consider Gangers but looking locally first

I'm getting mine with X-Plan pricing from Leith Ford in Wendell. I thought about Granger but when you add up everything you will spend for travel it's just not worth it, at least not for me coming from NC.

You could get a quote from Granger and then try to find a local dealer to match or tell them you want them to beat it.

I don't know about the 2025 models but the best deal I could find for the 2024s locally was right at MSRP. I got mine at Jones Ford in Shallotte. They don't tack on any dealer add-ons or other stuff you didn't ask for up front. If you can get a written offer from Granger below MSRP you could try taking that to a local dealer and see if they'll work with you. Also consider the doc fees, which are $799 in NC. Compare that to whatever they charge in IA when you factor in the relative costs. I might be worth the trip.

I heard that dealer is great. FWIW I called on pricing to see about buying some Motorcraft oil and a filter locally and they were by far the best in the area.

If you aren't in a super rush, it seems like the market is finally normalizing and you can probably get a deal after the very first batch are out the door. Mav isn't new but refresh is, so probably going to be a mad rush at first for the upgrades especially AWD hybrids.

Don't think there's even that much competition these days! Only downside is I think the '25 Mavs in AWD hybrid start just at $30K on the build tool IIRC.

Only other one I could think of if you wanted to be super cheap and it had to be new would be a '24 Versa S with the manual which after destination are a bit under $18K:

Are you planning to order or buy off the lot??

If you're going to order one you should have little difficulty finding a dealer to sell you one at invoice, or below if you're using Ford's A, Z or X plan. If you're not using one of Ford's discount programs you can still get one below invoice if you use Farm Bureau, Military or other discounts.

Trouble is not all dealers will participate in Ford's discount programs, I think mainly because they don't like the cap on dealer fees.. Most dealers I'm aware of in the greater Charlotte area charge a dealer fee of $700 - $800

But, if you can get a dealer to sell at invoice with no stupid add ons like VIN etching, wheel locks, and such, then you can use the Farm Bureau or other discounts to lower your OTD price. Some of those discounts can be combined which might result in a decent savings. For instance under most of these discounts like Farm Bureau and Military the discount is $500 each, so if you can combine them The savings will add up.
