23N06 Customer Satisfaction Program (Hybrid Maverick) - engine long block replacement coverage for 10/100k miles (for DTC P1061 and/or P032F)

I just read in the internet that Ford will replace the engine block on hybrids that have the problem of catching fire due to the crankshaft bearing chafing. Fords coverage for this is a 1 time replacement 10 years, or 100K miles. This is transferable to the next owner, so you can garantee the next owner if the truck blows up, Ford will replace the engine at no cost!

This is good to know. The hybrid drivetrain is already guaranteed for 10k miles already, isn't it? Did the article say if this issue is with the '22s and 23's? I ordered a hybrid in '21, got converted to a '23 and have had zero issues. Of Course, it would be a lot better if it just didn't blow up in the first place.

If your Mav is affected by the recall, you will see a new item in the FordPass app under Service (bottom tab) > Service Campaigns (Section) > View Customer Satisfaction Program Alerts > Long Block Replacement 23N06. There is no description there, but that will tell you if you're on the list.

Does anyone know if an actual engine failure / fire caused by bad finished crankshaft happened to a hybrid Maverick yet? I mean Scotty Kilmer said there was a MAJOR fire problem with the Ford Maverick Hybrid, must be true.

Why do people find this extended warranty concerning? It's re-assuring, unless if you didn't know the details about the past "Possible Under Hood Fire" recalls.

I wanted to reiterate the OP's original post that Codes P1061 and/or P032F must be detected before a dealer will replace the long block before the identified vehicle exceeds 10 years or 100k in miles. I'm also glad my local dealer was on top of the details surrounding 23N06.

I called about the delay in the clearance of the five accumulated recalls I took my 22' XLT hybrid last week and they stated it was typical.

I'm tempted to buy an OBD diagnostic tool for the first time I get the dreaded check engine light symbol on my dashboard.

It was already in my Ford Pass app, but yesterday I received a notification letter from Ford that my Maverick hybrid is subject to the 23N06 program.

Nice letter from Ford that applies to both my ‘22 Maverick and ‘22 Escape.

Interesting that they claim a 3-day replacement timeframe. When my 2018 Escape suffered from the ":coolant intrusion" problem, it took them 6 weeks to replace the short block.
