Take it from my experience, don’t do a first year Stellantis vehicle. I dodged a bullet with my 4xe with it being build late in the model year. The early ones had a ton of issues.
Buying Stellantis is not like trying to dodge a bullet. More like dodging grape shot from a cannon.

You like the word radically a lot do you also like the word tremendously? Yes most people you said for most people it is just a niche product now. So you're contradicting yourself second of all in the Northeast corridor where I live on most major arteries there are high speed chargers. Many cars, including those from lowly Kia and Hyundai can charge from 10 to 80% in less than 20 minutes. So you're telling me if you drive 350 miles you're not okay with stopping for 20 minutes. Like plug the car in, go in and take a leak, maybe grab a quick bite? I mean for most people that would be fine especially considering they might do that a couple of times a year. But I understand other guys have ever explained to me for those guys who drive 6,000 miles in 2 days every single week it's not really good for them. You don't have 20 minutes? I mean ideally refueling in 5 minutes is better if you're in a real hurry but I doubt many people have that stressed of a schedule. You should just buy a helicopter really
Come to my house. I'll put you up for a night. In the morning we'll leave for Mt Rushmore. I'll take my RAV4 or my Maverick Hybrid. Your choice.
Half way across South Dakota on I90, you'll be puckered up like someone just stuck a lemon up your butt. I'll still be on my first tank. If I take the Maverick, I'll still be on the first tank when I start heading back east. To make it really interesting, let's do it in January or February.
Pine Ridge doesn't have a super charger. Maybe they'll lend you a pony.

I'll pass, doesn't sound like a lot of fun but thanks for the offer. Not sure of your point pardner unless it's where very few people live there are less chargers so EVs don't make sense IF you live there AND you don't have a 2nd car you don't road trip AND you don't have electricity.
I'm not of the "EVs are perfect for everything crowd" and I'm not of the "they're horrible for everyone because they don't work for me" either. It's weird people say they're no good in the sticks because "I drive 900 miles a day through Nebraska so therefore they're no good for the other 280 million people in the country"

Ford lost $1.2 Billion on EV’s the first quarter of 2024 and expect to lose $5 billion for the year. I ran a $180 million business and our goal was to make money. We didn’t sell loss leaders, we at least broke even in margin on our worst margin items.

You're smarter I guess.... So when they calculate that loss are they factoring in the investment in factories and new production? In other words, is that not assuming a new factory reconfigured for EVS or built for EVS will be in operation for many many years and sales will increase and that tide will turn? I imagine when Ford originally invested a lot in the model T assembly line. If you took the first years sales and divided it by the investment cost, it might be a similar story

This doesn’t include the sales of all vehicles , they actually are in profit zone still and the dividend is payable on the stock.check the quarterly statement , all of it .

True believers slways gets upset when someone utters a blasphemy against the EV religion.

Thanks for the profanity that was a nice touch!

Zero. I have zero hours and at this point I have no reason ever to get even a minute until the battery tech radically improves. This has been my stance all along. At this point in time it's a niche product that doesn't suit most people, which is why the EV market is tanking so hard - people know a turd from the smell.

Question: do you support building out new nuclear power stations?
Oh so no seat time behind an EV. Got it. No fucking surprise at all. I got 2 for 2 on that one!

WHO IS NEXT? Bring it you arm chair anti EV enthusiasts. Don't tell me what you read on the fucking internet. Tell me about your seat time behind the WHEAL of an EV.

I don't think my posts in this thread line up with the narrative that you old men have been fed.

Nobody's buying them, nobody wants them. Just another government-led failure.
Are you sure about that? I think you need to do more research. What if I told you that 2024 sales of EVs are out pacing 2023 sales. What if I told you 2023 sales of EVs were the best ever.

Would any of you believe me? Or would you just tell me it's another government-led failure........

What does seat time have to do with it? Or foul language? In my experience people who use red herrings and foul language do so because they have nothing more substantial to go on. The market is smarter than you and the market says you are wrong:

Why should I or anyone compromise on what they want or why they want it? No, I don't want to spend half an hour charging when I could be driving instead. Most of the gas stations don't have chargers because they aren't wasting money on stuff nobody will use. And the restaurant where I want to eat doesn't have chargers either. It's up in the mountains where the morons ruined a perfectly beautiful natural view with a bunch of ugly windmills, half of which are broken at any given time.

They were never going to be economically feasible so taxpayers got stuck with the bill. When they all finally break down for good at least the local bird populations will bounce back. Taxpayers will get stuck with the bill for removing the windmill wrecks, which is hard and expensive due to all the non recyclable composites in the blade. They should put a tax on EV's for that.

As we have seen in cold weather the ranges will be shorter as well. Why should I have to compromise? I'd love to have an EV for grocery getting and the like, but not at the same prices as a full fledged automobile. They just cann't compete. And I NEED a vehicle that can go for hours, fuel up in a minute and go for hours more. Not every day but when I need it I need it.

Oh and sorry if using words with more than two syllables bothers you, in the future I will try to keep it simple so everyone can understand.

Oh and why would I buy a helicopter when I can get a flying car? Got $300k you can spot me bro?

People are saying inflation isn't bad either. But when your bank account says otherwise who do you believe?
