I’ve been working on this project for a while and it’s finally on the ground. My truck has a Ranger CTR57 and rough downpipe but finally had the production style prototype built.

Similar design to our stock flange 304 but wait time will no longer be 2-3 months or more. 3 inch 304 SS with GESI cat, OEM style hangers, heavy duty v band assembly and Midpipe. Made in the USA with American material and quality second to none.

Complete package will include the following:

•Ranger frame CTR57 turbo
•3 inch 304 DP with EPA
Approved GESI cat
•3 inch 304 midpipe
•Heavy duty V band clamp
•New OEM turbo & DPgaskets
•New OEM turbo lines

$3,500 shipped

Custom turbo and downpipe options are also available

Out stock flange 304s will not be far behind these with a new catback that works on both versions.

Your welder is really good. (y)

That bracket just upstream of the v band clamp - is it going into factory holes in the crossmember?

Yes he is very, very good. If you think this is nice, his Lambo twin turbo kits will blow you away.

Yes the bracket you see is the OEM bracket which has rubber isolators.

Nice TIG welding.
i work in oil n gas instrumentation where lots of stainless steel used, especially of the 316L SSTL enclosures are welded. Exterior #2 polished, that takes care of exterior weld marks. Interior are mill finish surface, but if not treated, see blue weld marks. To clear up the blue burn marks, the builders just sand blast the welds to mask over the blues. Could possibly do same for these welds, clean them up a bit.

Toss on another $1500 for install and tuning roughly and it seems like a fantastic deal.

Also idk why you guys are spreading false information about forscan... It works for all 2024s and if it doesn't for you... then you need to update forscan or get your cable/driver figured out.
Are you in the right thread? Where is anyone talking about Forscan here?

Good question, he messaged me this and is posting that I’m an untrustworthy vendor.

Well that is an interesting development. Reminds me of when I was called a liar that my ecoboost was true flex fuel in my focus, that I was running full e85 without a fuel rail, that my 23 f-150 was not tunable when indeed it was.
Was fine they called me out right away. But even then they were not calling me untrustworthy. Mainly because all those things are true until they are not. Someone has to be first. So yes maybe at one point forscan didn’t work. Now it does. Does not make that statement untrue or the vendor untrustworthy.

Guys, guys, sometimes you have a few too many beers and you start posting in the wrong area!

Back to the downpipe and turbo........I want one!!!!!!

This is my first turbo vehicle besides my work truck. Never really paid much attention on the 2.7 ecoboost since it was a work truck and tuning or upgrades were not on the radar.

Question on the 2.0 ecoboost. With the stock turbo is there a lot of turbo lag between 0-30mph, or is that the tranny trying to figure out where it needs to be?

If I run the truck in normal mode it feels like there is lag everywhere. Turning on sport mode drastically improves the lag or eliminates it. Makes me think that it is not really turbo lag, but tranny lag. I still get that "hit" when I give it the gas, where there is an audible change to the engine and you can feel it making power.

So if you upgrade the turbo to a larger one....does that take more time to spool up? I understand that increasing turbo size will get more A/F to the engine so more power. I kind of want to increase the power in the lower speeds say 0-45mph. Truck seems to really good at 50-70mph.

Not sure if any of this makes sense?
