Nice! I bought the same one.
I had to buy the torx sockets to install, but will probably use again. Maybe
We had to buy a set of torx sockets, too, cuz the other set was in the racecar trailer. Now we have 2 sets! 😁
Love having the Maverick sticker on this piece!

I think this is the best mod. Inexpensive, functional, safety feature. I use it everyday.

Yup, it's a good mod, esp for a starter (me!). I'm just dipping my toe into truck ownership for the very 1st time! 68 year old lady here, and I've always wanted a small truck. Hubby said, let's do it - happy birthday! He has a F250, and was all in favor of me getting this small Ford truck. He has had as much fun buying mods and accessories for it, as I have. Ordered my tonneau cover today, my window vents/visors, a tray organizer for the dashboard behind the camera, and some coasters for the cup holders. After this, not sure where I'll go next. I don't have any major modifications in mind for it. I'm pretty happy with the mechanical setup, just as it is. But I do like my Trinkets and doodads. 😂

The Mav is a great little truck. Easy to park, wash, and it has a good size bed. You should be good to go after your upcoming mods, especially the tonneau cover. I see you have the Lariat, which is even better with more features. May I suggest window tinting? especially, if you live in a warm climate. It makes a big difference keeping you cool and keeping your interior protected from the sun.

Good suggestion! Rears are already tinted, of course, so would just need the fronts done. Thanks! (Yeah, kinda hot & muggy here in E. TN.)

Love it! Tailgate assist by Klutchtech (Mav sticker comes with it!).

So does this just let the tailgate lower slowly by itself,or does it also assist in closing it? Curious if it makes it harder to close....

No it doesn't make it any harder to close. It's just a soft, assisted lowering, to take the weight off without it coming crashing down. I don't think it assists in raising, at all. At least in my situation, it does not interfere with the closing of the tailgate whatsoever. And it shouldn't, If properly installed.

If you want to replace the tailgate tie down bracket that had to be removed to fit the assist strut, I've made a few that I'm selling.

Works well and clears the new strut and no issues with the cable. I have a thread here in the For Sale forum.

Lane, how are these painted, is it powder coat, rattle can, professional automotive paint? What do you charge for the tie down?
