Did you ever get an email from Ford? I'm in the same situation with a dealer here in Florida and being told that I'm in "order processing" too. I signed the same sheet that you did, although mine shows a Priority Code 10. Sales rep tells me that for some reason about 30% of the orders are not generating emails from Ford back to the customers? Just want to make sure that my order is actually in the system.
Yes, I randomly got an email a few days later. Still don't know why there was a delay.

What is the "priority number" that people are referencing?

I just ordered a Hybrid XL last week. All I have is the confirmation email from Ford, and I don't see anything about priority.
The priority code is listed on your buyers order or order preview sheet. If you don't have either of those (you really should), your dealer can look up your priority code. For customer orders, the dealer can set the priority code from 10 to 19, with 10 being the highest priority within that dealership, although that's just one small factor in the broader picture of when your order may get built.

I sat with my dealer today and he showed me that he can not change the priority code on the Meverick orders. He walked me through it step by step. When he clicked the drop down menu he could put a check mark next to "10" but if he did this, it would erase anything he had already entered in the other fields. The only option he could select was "19". Maybe he just didn't know what he was doing?

My dealer sure did change mine from 19 to 10 when I asked him back in June. He texted me a picture of his computer screen to show it was changed. LOL.

I just got to the bottom of this: "These priority codes are how dealers prioritize their ordered vehicles. When Ford picks up orders from dealers on Thursdays, the system will pick up the dealer's higher priorities first. Having a priority code of 10 at one dealer doesn't mean your vehicle will be built before another dealer's priority 15. Example: 1st week in July someone places an order with priority code #19 at Joe's Dealership. 1st week in August someone places the same order at Ted's dealership with a priority code of #10. This does not move the order placed at Ted's goes ahead in the schedule of the order placed at Joe's"

When will an 11 get picked?
My dealer said they had only a few allocations and lowered me from 19 to 11

Yes, this has been discussed many times over here in this forum. But what does that have to do with your dealer telling you that he could not change your priority from 19?

The #11 has very little to do as to when your vehicle will be picked at the Ford plant. It just means that on the Thursday when Ford took the the orders from your dealer, you were placed in a priority number for all the cars your dealer ordered that past week. If your dealer ordered 50 cars (of all different models) from Ford you may be 40th in priority for your dealer. This has only a slight effect as to when Ford selects your vehicle. Your dealer may have ordered only 4 Mavericks that week so you really are not 40th (in this example) for the week. When Ford chooses to select your vehicle has far more to do with many other issues, least of which is what your dealer designated you for the week you placed your order.

This procedure has been misrepresented here. The representation was copied and pasted from a different website post from 2017.

I know I'm in for a long wait even though I'm not getting the Hybrid, but looking at my order sheet I wonder if I need to hassle my dealer -

Ford Maverick Ford Maverick Ordering & Scheduling Process — A Detailed Explanation maverick-order-pag

It's being ordered as 'Stock' not 'Retail' and a Priority Code of 80. When I signed the paperwork I did inquire about a "Retail Order Priority 10" per this forum and the sales guy (while nice) said things were good.

EditToAdd: I DID get an order confirmation from Ford, though nothing shows on my account yet.

Dealers assign priority codes to each order based on the Order Type. Stock orders are assigned priority codes 20-80, retail orders are assigned priority codes 10-19. Fleet orders are assigned special alpha numeric codes that represent a requested production week. The priority codes determine the order for which vehicle orders are to be selected and/or considered for scheduling. This overview doesn’t consider commodity issues (model, powertrain or option scheduling restrictions) that may be in place for a scheduling week. Commodity issues and/or restrictions can apply at either or both the regional and national levels.

The highest priority that a Dealer can use for a retail order is 10. An order with a “10” priority code will schedule ahead of an order with an “11” priority code, etc. This allows Dealers to prioritize the order in which vehicles are scheduled, especially when a Dealer may have multiple retail orders in the USOB (Unscheduled Order Bank). With the WBDO ordering system, retail orders default to priority code “19” so it’s important that a Dealer change the priority code to a lower number if they want the order to be considered for scheduling earlier compared to other orders.

When I placed and signed my order on 8/23 I asked for a Priority Code of 10 from the Fleet manager I was working with. He obliged.

I asked before I left about how many Maverick orders they had outstanding.
He stated that there were 29 Maverick orders ahead of me. So I was expecting a very long wait for my Maverick XLT Hybrid to be built.

On August 30th I had the order changed to drop the "hard drop-in bedliner" and the "splash guards" as those were late availability and would delay my order. I then added the "bed mat" to protect the bed without a bedliner.

And then 8/31 happened with the "bed mat" having 0% nationally availability so I then had the "bed mat" removed on September 3rd.

After reading more posts here on this site over the weekend of September 4th & 5th I decided I wanted the "manual rear sliding window" and the 110V/400W outlet in the Cab so I asked to have those added on September 6th. The Fleet manager was off that day so he tried later in the week but was unable to make changes because Ford was looking at my order to possibly schedule for production. It was not selected on Thursday September 9th so on the 10th the additions were added.

That Ford was actually looking to possible schedule my order was fantastic news and that I even was considered I believe was because my Priority Code was 10 and that the default 19 was used on those other orders at the dealership by other sales personal. So those 29 orders that were ahead of me were actually behind me.

The following Thursday September 16th I got the email from Ford that my Maverick XLT Hybrid was scheduled for production the week of November 8th.

I strongly recommend that when ordering that you ask to be assigned a Priority Code of 10 as that may actually push you up in line at that dealership.

Interesting tale!
So, are you still scheduled for 8 Nov?
Or have you been pushed back, mostly because of next week’s shutdown?
My original build date of 22Nov (birthday present!) was, just this week, pushed back to 29Nov. Happened on Friday, after the shutdown was announced.

Check my signature for all my order details. You will see my build date(s) of 11/8 11/15 11/22.
The one not crossed out (11/22) is my current build date and yes mine was also pushed back yesterday.

Can someone tell me if Ford CS says my status is "order processing" does that mean I'm just waiting for it to be scheduled or did the dealer not submit my order yet?

Responding to myself to add that I reached out to my dealer, and they said all orders are submitted as 'Stock', then when Ford verifies it is for an actual waiting customer they change to 'Retail' and up the priority. We'll see.. It's been 6 days. The pain is real. ⏳

I got my build sheet from the dealer when I placed my order back in August with Priority Code #19 but never got an email confirmation from Ford. Just wondering if I should be concerned. Was my order actually placed if Ford didn’t confirm? It’s been over 2 months now.
