Interesting, but I’m not impressed. Even if it was available in the Sates, I think I would have to pass. 😟
Looks like a toned down Santa cruz.....the diesel would interest me except non Cummins Diesels from dodge have a less than stellar reputation to be nice. .

I didn't think someone could make something look uglier than the SC. Congratulations Ram, you did it!

I’ve owned a Dakota and 1 ton with the 24 valve Cummins diesel. Those were both really good trucks, but this thing doesn’t seem to me to have the same pedigree. Plus it sorta looks like a mutt. Just my opinion.

This "truck" is way underpowered, even for its size. It is ugly but I still think the Santa Cruz is uglier. ;)

Based on a Fiat Toro? It looks like it is EXACTLY a Fiat Toro, only very lightly badge engineered. We rented one in Brazil a while ago, it's basically a Cherokee with a bed. Obviously this article is an update for Latin America, but I have been wondering since I first heard of the Maverick if the Fiat might make its way north as a "new product", either in Jeep or RAM guise, to compete with the Ford. If it does, I would expect it to share powertrains with the (already EPA approved) Jeep Cherokee.

I could see stretching the Jeep Renegade into a pickup. I think that would be a hot seller.

Only gets a 1.3l (non turbo) etorque @ 139hp or a 2l turbo diesel @ 170hp....
Likely a POS IMO, maybe better the SC but who cares? Destined for the burned out, suspension trashed, no resale value scrap heap. I admire that Ford just made a straightforward, useable, affordable, great mileage hybrid truck to my needs without trying to be too friggin' clever about it. I wasn't even in the market for a new truck and yet ordered it first day. Unlike anything else, worth more the day you drive it off the lot.

That's actually pretty nifty! That long trunk (lets be real, that's what it is) is really cool. I'd be more interested in this than the Santa Cruz. The design seems to be more honest in terms of "not being a truck". I quite like it.

Gets 180hp in other countries, dunno why this one is gimped. The new 1.3T is not bad, they just developed it new recently, maybe 2020 I think. Replaces the old 1.4T, better emissions.
