This is the best camper solution so far, and it's not even close. For the price of just a basic ass camper, you get a camper with opening-fricken-sides and a tent?! Man, it honestly seems to good to be true.
You misunderstood me. I meant that I don't want to compare the KO2's to the Pirelli's, as the Scorpions are terrible off-road. I'm interested in comparing the fuel economy of the KO2's to that of something like Wildpeak's or Open Country's. That is a more relevant comparison.
This. This so hard. I'm not sure why people keep repeating the absolute falsehood that AWD is not much better than FWD. That may be (sometimes) true for cornering, but all thing equal, you are MUCH more likely to get stuck in winter conditions in a FWD car. When you stop in snow, getting rolling...
Fuck, it's pictures like these that really make me appreciate how well designed the Flex Bed is. That is an absolutely fantastic system you've got going there, my man. It's crazy just how well they fit in there. I'll definitely be doing something similar for my wife's/kid's snowboards.
See, this is more what I was expecting. @Zepper , for whatever reason, if getting substantially less miles to the gallon than you are. I wonder why? What's he missing? Is is just a very different daily commute?
I'm also curious. I don't mind a hit to MPG, as it will likely still do better than my Jeep, but I'd still like to do better than 25ish. This will likely be the determining factor on whether I go with a lift or just a leveling kit, which also looks pretty fire, tbh.
A Renegade with a slightly longer wheelbase and a bed would be pretty sick. They already have a Plug-In version of that platform that would give Ford a serious run for their money. Their AWD (so called "4x4") and 4xE tech is also VERY good. It would be a serious contender, IMO.
As for Toyota...
Yep. Search function, homie. There are a few of them out there made by what people consider very reputable companies/individuals. Search "lift kit" and check out what people are saying about them.
Ooooo that's niiiice. The roof spoiler looks a bit tacked on, IMO, but the tail gate spoiler and the hood deflector are looking like sure things for me. They look better and better every time I see them. Over all, looks good! (y).
Why wouldn't they use the most off-road capable of both vehicles? I mean I know the Santa Cruz doesn't offer an off-road package, but the Maverick does. It seems like a strange thing not to do when they're supposed to be testing their off the shelf off-road worthiness.
Agree'd. They already effed you once. If they are unwilling to eat the cost difference from switching to the ecoboost, I'd take my money and order elsewhere.
