It is a cover for the lower area of the side storage compartment.Does anyone know what this is, I found it in the bed on delivery. Thanks

Slides into the cubby storage on the RH side of bed right in from of tailgate. Pop the door off and slide it in.Does anyone know what this is, I found it in the bed on delivery. Thanks

Looking at it that was my first thought but I put a storage cubby in mine and didn't have anything like that when i took the stock cover off the RH side.
It creates a semi-secret compartment in the bed cubby.
It goes in here
Should every truck get this piece?

Yes. If you have a cubby, you should have the "shelf". I bought a second cubby to install on the other side and it also came with the "shelf" in the box from Ford.

Was it loose in the bed? The dealership is supposed to PDI your vehicle. Wonder what else they didn't do?

On delivery my gas tank was empty and the mav wasn’t detailed either !!!!!
When I got mine it was filthy from shipping and the salesman had to tell them to wash it.
"does he want it washed?"
"Yes he wants it washed! are you kidding??"
I didn't find any weird surprises except they put the unused floormats in the and some wire thing too?
