I had already posted that my '22 XL came with the damper.
I had to disconnect it from the glovebox to replace my cabin filter, which took a whole three minutes..
If someone is replacing their cabin filter. You just need to lightly compress the "Split-pin" that is attached to the bottom edge of the glovebox. The damper just pops right off. To reconnect, just do the opposite and pop the pin back in...

You made me feel guilty about not installing the damper yet.

I severed the heat and got it installed today. I had problems installing the rear lug on the post. I tried several things but was able to get the lug on the post using a pair of needle nose pliers to grip it firmly.
👍🙂

What's really going to bug you is when you start to wonder what else is missing from your Maverick that you can't outright see. I owned two fords prior to my Mav. Ford really dropped the ball on production and quality with the Mav and lost me as a customer.

2025 XL, no damper.

Realized when I was trying to diagnose a :curse: water leakin the passenger wheel well. Cabin air filter soaked through, so it must be coming in through the air intake.

I've owned this truck since January and it feels like I've had it in the shop more than I've had it in my driveway.

MY2024 Mav Lariat Built 12/26/2023 (yes I know, lucky me built after Christmas, but so far no manufacturing errors) Delivered 1/10/2024... I have the Glove Box Damper.

There's a plastic piece on the passenger side that sits under the black windshield cowling on the outside that's likely not in place. If you shine a light through the cabin air filter with the HVAC on, you may be able to see it...

... Told him to just forget it I would just buy one myself....
People ... DON'T EVER DO THAT!

What he's doing is weaponizing incompetence, i.e. playing dumb until you give up ... Don't ever let these people off, you paid your money now they need to hold up their end of the deal (do their job)

If you let it go the guy just gets a free pass at your expense

I've seen this on a couple of other threads ands think this is the culprit too. Hopefully not much more rain before they'll take me at the shop on friday.
