Me: 2024 hybrid - my green tab is there just like in the photo posted by Dave. I second what others have written: You should not ignore it, you may need it one cold, rainy day. The tab is probably lodged behind the plastic shroud. Maybe a tool like a dental pick or a curved pick will be able to catch it and pull it down? Or just let the dealer do it - it is mostly hidden and they can't really screw it up except for a scratch or two on the black plastic which mud will cover in a short time.

There may also be a plastic tool included in the jack/lug wrench kit intended for use to pry the door open. The peg that interfaces with the locking mechanism is just push fit into the door assembly and can be popped out.

Yes, it is a HYBRID with the button-operated gas door.
I will probably wait until it goes in for something else and then have them look at it again. I was actually at a dealership yesterday to pick up a n accessory. I asked the service advisor about it, and he looked and just told me that the manuals are boilerplate and not al models have all features...

What piss poor response from the dealer.

OR…it’s a rare nuclear powered engine and you never need to open the fuel door until in 30 years it’s time to de-fuel and re-fuel the reactor. You know, like an aircraft carrier!

EcoBoosts don't have the electric latching gas door so no secondary pull release.

Your ecoboost doesn't have the green tab because only Hybrids have an electric release button on the dash for the fuel door.

If the electric button fails to operate for whatever reason, the green tab will let Hybrid owners open the fuel door and fill the truck.

I'm not sure if this is worth pursuing with Ford.

Its worth pursuing in the event the gas door button doesn’t work…..

I just checked out 24 Lariat Hybrid. The green tab is there. I didn't know about this before this thread.

If the electric button fails to operate for whatever reason, the green tab will let Hybrid owners open the fuel door and fill the truck.

Why is it necessary in the Hybrids?
