Rear ended by a Taco!

Glad you guys are ok. Doesn’t look bad. Poke ur head under the bumper and see if u can see the frame rails. Forwards the end u can see if they are bent at the crumple points.

I just got rear ended by a damn Taco! Everyone is okay. My son and I got a little whiplash. I filed with my insurance and will get it checked out ASAP. My untrained eye doesn’t see much damage. We all know the Mav, so something could be lurking underneath.

There is a post of someone looking for a slightly damaged rear cover so they can cut it up to mod it!
Get it fixed have them give you the parts and make a few shipping to the guy in Washington looking!

I had something similar happen at a drive through. Chevy Colorado, last gen, older driver. I think he had a brain fart. Literally no damage. Plastic bumper probably prevented potential paint (pbpppp? K.) chipping. No damage underneath, I made sure to get under and check. But it was less of a hit and more of a 1mpg roll into, and his license plate is the only spot that made contact. No need to even do anything about it.

Thankfully didn't hit the hitch. If they did I might not have trusted my eyeballing it while I was underneath.

Check under the tow hitch area to see any damage, the bumper doesnt look like it took anything, most likely from the hitch receiver

I think the hitch took it all. I’m taking it in for an estimate tomorrow. I don’t trust myself with stuff like that.

That's probably the best thing to do. I'd rather know 100% than find out about it later. Plus if you ever sell the truck and someone finds out there is damage there later they may think you tried to pull a fast one on them.

I think what the OP means is he was rear-ended by a Toyota Tacoma(Taco for short).
Most likely the towbar took the brunt of it.
EDIT: OP just posted a picture of his Maverick and his finger.
Damage looks very slight.

Seriously though, it seems like when a Maverick is involved in an accident, the cost to repair it is astronomical!
I'm thinking of adding aircraft landing lights in the bed and wired to the brake lights.

Tacoma . On the plus side, it doesn't look like there's any substantial damage. He's right, they'll have to look at the structure to determine that. But if it didn't even dent the tailgate, I don't there being any frame issues.
