So, it happened. I got hit from behind by a Ram 2500. Not highway speeds, not enough to pop any airbags, but enough that my tailgate could no longer open and had to be cut off to replace it. Hard enough that it bent my trailer hitch.

But square-on enough that it didn't take any frame damage. Shop did a great job with the fixes!

Unfortunately, the seller I got my matte lettering from is no longer selling. What's the new go-to? The tufskins matte black on Ford's website?

I got a rear ended in my 2021 Escape just like yours, slightly noticeable, after a couple of months the AT was acting weird, I ended up selling the SUV to avoid the headache back in the day. Just saying

See if you can file a diminished value claim against their insurance. In NC you can. You have to go through a few minor steps but could end up with $7000 or more in your pocket.

Yes it is a real thing. It compensates you for lost trade in value if your vehicle due to the accident.
