how was your Ford dealer experience?

Good from Lexington Park Ford in Maryland so far.

Sales: Passed between 3 internet sales reps from the time of initial order to delivery, good communication at every step (even let me know about vehicle delivery before the email from Ford). Had to ask for price protection as the cost went up $400 in the 9 month wait but they honored it without any fuss. Did need to review all the optional finance stuff but since I was paying cash declining went pretty quick. Extended warranty was not competitive w/ Granger but not too far over either, still declined. Was nice to see paperwork went all digital and walked out with everything on a USB stick.

Parts: Couldn't get any discounts but no mark-ups over MSRP either. Used all my Ford Pass points on tailgate lettering and a hood deflector and they even they rounded down to zero out (about $9 savings). Good estimates on delivery.

Service: Same week scheduling on the turn signal recall. They provided a shuttle to / from my office and were done in under 2 hours door to door. They even pushed a separate update to fix the intermittent air leak trouble code that's popped up a few times. No free car wash on warranty work apparently.

My dealer experience is greatly diminished by Ford's allocation system. It doesn't matter how pleasant and honest my dealer is if they never get my Maverick. Thank you from reading my day 511 rant.

My Ford dealership and salesman treated me like a king. I had not been treated that well since the Navy Recruiter 62 years ago. And I won't tell you how THAT turned out. Century Ford, Mt. Airy, Maryland.

I bought mine at Butler County Ford in Pa. Great experience. It is now Cochran Ford. (Cochran has a dealership for every brand here in the Pittsburgh area.) It seems as though most of the people have stayed on. I had the first oil change done at the 'new' dealer and was very pleased.

When I was looking to order in Sept. of 22' the Ford dealers in Tucson wanted a hefty deposit and a couple grand in dealer markup... then I found Kevin at Auto House with no deposit and no markup.

Got my Hybrid XL with hitch receiver in 11 months!

Can't say enough good things about Kevin at Auto House in Tucson and Martha at Finn Ford in Blythe (parent dealership).

Mine was great with Santa Monica Ford. Got the truck I wanted for the price I wanted. I asked for a better priority code on my order, no problem. My truck is a 2023 XLT, Ecoboost. I was waiting 5 months. 10 days after the code was changed the dealer called and said it's here.
Service is fantastic and the truck has no issues. They call me when there's a recall and pick up and deliver the truck at no cost.

Lamoureux Ford in East Brookfield Mass was great. I ordered it in September 2022 and picked it up in May2023 exactly what I wanted . They did the after purchase piece of the tonneau and the Rhino liner and gave me an Expedition to use while it was being done. Derek is aces.

Stellar: Van Bortel Ford in East Rochester, NY. Paid invoice (about $800 below MSRP), which is what everyone else paid upon ordering. Dealer fee: $175. Temp tag: $12.50. That was it; paid reg fee and sales tax when I returned to Florida. Steve Miller kept me apprised of everything during order, Product Specialist Mark Hawkins went over every feature before I left.

Typical dealership hustle but Coggins DeLand was true to original purchase price, ordered August 18, 2021 confirmed August 21, delivered October 1, 2022 paid for a SnugTop cancelled SnugTop 3 months later after no delivery in sight, ordered ARE cap at Cap World came in 3 weeks later. Still waiting for the $50.00 hotspot that now they're saying didn't come with the truck. Stealerships suck!

Dealer experience was great for my cash order. Phone order with no deposit required - just copy of driver's license texted to them for COVP. No dealer addons or markup, Price Protection honored and even including doc fee, it was many hundreds less than original COVP price. They offered extended warranties, but prefaced it with, "we have to offer these to you, but you're under no obligation to buy..." In & out of the dealership in less than an hour.

For warranty work, I'll be using a larger dealership that's twice as close as the selling dealer and has much more Hybrid service experience.

Original dealer is Whitson-Morgan Ford, Ozark, Ark.

Ordered mine from Tim Short Ford in Hazard, Kentucky and the experience could not have been better.

They honored X-plan pricing, which was good.

Got a call one day that the truck had arrived at the dealership, we did the financing over the phone and the next day y they dropped off at me home in North Carolina.

Got mine from Metro Ford of Madison. The actual sale of the vehicle went smoothly, and the sales reps were fine to work with. I sent the rep my build, I stopped in and put down a deposit, and he kept me updated over the following months. Delivery was painless.

The service department, however...is mediocre, at best. I had the tow pkg wiring recall work appointment booked for about a month. Dropped it off on my appt. day, got a call about an hour later saying they didn't have the part...really, guys? So scheduled another appointment for a couple weeks later. My last visit for an oil change was also slightly annoying as it was finished by like 10am but no one called me. I showed up an hour before close and they obviously forgot and hadn't even done the paperwork. Probably not going there for service anymore.

Got mine from Ford of Cookeville in Tennessee, and they were great! I specifically sought them out because they were one of the few dealers that was selling at MSRP. Several others were still marking them up. The staff at Cookeville was great, and they even gave me a lifetime powertrain warranty that I can use at any dealership. Would highly recommended this dealership.
