If you need to recover a vehicle(Maverick) from the front and it does not have a tow hook. You can use these round "Soft Shackle" around the frame, or the hole in the lower control arm (below the left side green arrow in the photo)

Link to soft shackle and recovery rope: (soft shackle is the smaller loop things)

looks good. I opted for a 7/8" rope but think I'd be better served with a 3/4"
If you don't want much stretch 1" is ok. 10' bridle not shown

I just purchased this recovery strap:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09Q89H6VQ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1
And this for the Hitch:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/354999112890 (Make offer of $23.50 and it's yours) all lower offers get countered at that price.

This is for when we go up to the snow. There is not a real good place to hook up the front end of the Maverick. (See the post above has a link to possible spots)

Just and FYI. The recovery rope has about a 30% stretch and the recovery straps have about a 20% stretch.

For trucks, SUVs, and larger rigs, purchase your Factor 55 KERR based on your vehicle’s gross vehicular weight rating (GVWR). A properly sized rope for typical SUVs and trucks is one that has a 4:1 to 6:1 minimum breaking strength to GVWR ratio. For larger vehicles (Unimogs, EarthRoamers, EarthCruisers, heavier military trucks, etc.), a 2:1 to 4:1 ratio may be acceptable. If you use a smaller and lighter KERR, rope breakage might occur. If too large and heavy, the rope won’t stretch enough, reducing the maximum kinetic energy assist. The KERR must be suited to the GVWR of the lighter of the two vehicles used in the recovery process.

Maverick aprox 5,000GVWR X 4 = 20,000. X 6 = 30,000

Even if you do, it's a unibody, not the same as pulling on a frame.
That's right and why I advocate for a bridle to spread the load and a stretchy rope to soften the pull. Knowing the limits of the tow points and using that space between your ears is good practice.

There is an older post that is closed, trying to revive the question. The pic below shows one of the 2 holes in the front (the old post had some discussion on their use but didn't answer the question). The Ford instructions tell you NOT to use chains, cables or straps "WITH METAL HOOK ENDS"!
Can anyone shed light on what is to be used, that is not metal, to tow a hybrid Maverick when stuck?

Incorrect.
Different fixtures.
Take a closer look.

I only got the ones highlighted in yellow. Those do not fit. One of the other shapes will.

Pictured is a 3-way "universal" device.

But in true Ford fashion, the use of "spacer blocks" is expectedly vague.
☹
