Description
The turn signal outage detection system may not send a notification to the driver if only one of the two rear turn signal lamp bulbs on either side has failed.
Safety Risk
This may result in you being unaware of a turn signal bulb failure, which may not alert other road users of an upcoming turn or lane change, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Ford Motor Company has authorized your dealer to update the body control module bcm software free of charge.

So much for them working out all the bugs for the 2023 model year.

Between this, the trailer light recall and the TSB about transmission fluid contamination plus all of the features removed due to "chip shortages," I worry that 2023 might end up being a lemon-year.

Same here. Not happy at all. Sat there for 3 hours negotiating and doing paper work and then they come back at the very end saying they just found out about the recall and can't release it until it's fixed. No ETA

Keep us updated. My dealer won't release the truck until it's fixed. The problem is they told me they don't know what the fix entails...

I mean they are fixing it for free. Shit happens but at least you don't have to pay for it. I get this is a pain in the ass to schedule and worry about but not that big of a deal

...agree to disagree, but it does become a bigger deal when things like insurance switchovers are involved and pre scheduled appointments like getting winter tires installed at another vendor. I have scheduled winter tires to be installed this weekend, am looking at rescheduling and the earliest is now 2 weeks later...sure, it's new tires on the rims, but God forsake an accident happening between the receiving of the car and the winter tires installed....insurance companies are sticklers for details and what they'll cover. Hopefully I'm not waiting another 2 weeks for this vehicle.

woohoo...just got the call right now as well... finally!

My app does not show the recall, but dealer called me today to setup an appointment to fix it on Wednesday. they said they will come to me to fix it.

My Ford app never did show this recall. Like you, my dealer called me to schedule an appointment. Their Mobile service came to me and it took only 10 minutes for the software update.
