Code P04B4 popped up on my Maverick Hybrid - 20k miles

Wife was driving Maverick Hybrid and when she stopped for gas, the fuel door didn’t pop open (push button on dash on hybrids) until an error message popped up on the cluster display. Fuel nozzle shut off quickly and it appeared that the fill tube would audibly “top off” with gas frequently, thus stopping the nozzle each time. Appears a vapor valve may have failed or has an issue. It may be a part of a fuel vapor separator tube which is on backorder? P04B4 is the code that popped up, causing a check engine light. Anybody seen this?

Hopefully, you haven't been topping off the tank when you fill up.

No - always fill it with nozzle set at the first lock setting and stop filling when it clicks off.

Same exact condition and code... We're bringing it in for 20k service and I'll change Tuesday. Will report back.

Same issue here. Covered under warranty, but it will take a few weeks before I could get it scheduled for repair.
