Sports trucks aren't really my thing (from a functional standpoint, just a poor foundation for a performance street vehicle), but your Maverick is bad a$$.
I get where your coming form but lowering won’t affect the bed space. Which remains the same . Most people don’t tow lot with their maverick anyways?

It's not that it reduces the functionality of a truck, it's that a truck in general isn't the best platform for optimal performance due to size/weight, aerodynamics, weight distribution, OEM frame and suspension, etc. If I wanted a performance vehicle for the street, it's going to be a car. But, can't say a bad thing about that Maverick.

A trim level above the Lariat? A 360 camera system is not the option that comes to mind thinking about a sport truck. Maverick Platinum?

A bigger intercooler does sound like a sports truck.

Maybe a 360 camera will be an option on other trim levels too. I would have paid more to get a 360 camera.

Any chance of paddle shifters?

No matter how good it is, with the prices going up so much I will be staying with the truck I have now.

I think the Hybrid will stay FWD. When PHEV comes out, that will be AWD. With a bigger battery an extra motor for the rear makes sense.
It's hard to say considering the standard hybrid AWD is available with the escape. Not adding battery capacity and charging ports keeps it as a simple power train swap.

I think this will be part of Ford pushing people upstream. Also, the need the FWD Hybrid for TOAD duty.

We just caught a new Ford Maverick variant, showing signs of the upcoming performance street truck trim widely expected to join the Maverick lineup.

Ford has trademarked the Maverick Lobo name, and it may point to this interesting new prototype, caught testing in Dearborn. The heavy front-end camo appears to hide a more aggressive front-fascia, with a lowered, muscled stance. The prototype is fitted with new, larger 19-inch wheels, mounted to 225/55R19 Goodyear Wrangler Territory HT tires, showing its new focus on street performance. 18-inch wheels and tires are currently the largest rollers available on the Maverick.

The prototype appears to have a single exhaust exiting from the left side of the rear bumper, and showcases the independent rear suspension setup of the AWD Maverick, which should enable proper traction if more power is on tap. It appears that there are visual signs of an intercooler in the front bumpers lower air-intake suggesting a more potent turbocharged powerplant.

The media calling the lobo
If we are going with the Mexican theme, I think chrome this and that is gonna be the style. I miss chrome myself. I know it's toxic as hell but so isn't black plastic. I just don't care for black plastic. It looks tough but ruins the metal underneath it.

Yes, I'm thinking one trim level up. Not a sport truck as it has regular 19" tires, not performance tires. Trim above Lariat seems likely here.

Maybe trying to get closer to the F150 trims.

XL, √ XLT, √ Lariat, √ Tremor, Platinum? I wouldn't expect a Maverick Platinum unless they redo the entire interior or really upscale it.

Know we only need the leaks for the Maverick Raptor with the bed mounted 3.5L Twin Turbo EcoBoost for Baja racing in the Home Depot parking lot!

I suspected a higher trim level for 2025 a year ago. Ford makes more money on the upsell.

Not if it is removed during the undercoating process, a coat of POR 15 top coat applied before undercoating. Cost me lots of money to get it done, in the shop for a period of 4 days but not worked on constantly during that period. Much better resource for the truck than spending it on frivolous stuff.. :ROFLMAO:

For sure. Doing the work after you get it will preserve it. Aside from being the Maverick man, I am also a AMC Eagle guy. Eagles were one of the earliest adopters of "tough looking" black plastic. Having dealt with a few of em, I can tell ya they all rusted under the plastic. Recently I saw a 3 year old Transit van that had it's plastic damaged and removed. Every mounting hole had rust starting in on it. I know for sure at the first sign of visible rust, I am gonna yank all the plastic and take it to the body shop.

360 camera and ACC. def a Lariat level at least. if it does come with a 2.3 and 300hp mark, on an XLT trim, id trade the tremor in.
