You’ll get used to filling up less often, but if you’re like me you’ll get a little dopamine shot every fill up from the realization of how much money you’re saving on gas. Even when prices spike it just doesn’t hurt as much, because in that moment you realize it’ll be a while before you have to refuel.

If you are referring to the "fuel charge" on the invoice, that's gas from whem they add it after building it. That's standard fare for basically every car built, and especially Ford as the fuel added at the factory is a charge on every invoice. They have to add enough gas to get it out of the factory, and to account for idle time while in the yards waiting to get loaded onto the train.

Now if they actually put a charge on your purchase order of $40, that's TOTALLY different.

Very nice truck! your gas mileage will get better (depending on how you drive). My first 1000 miles I averaged 46.7 mpg. That is way above what I thought I would get. Happy Mavericking

Next step: Add a tonneau cover. But which one? Had the Bak Flip on my previous truck with no problems but didn't love not being able to see out the back window when it was up. I do like the roll up covers they have now. Choices.

Beautiful truck and glad you are in the Maverick family. My wife and I both have Lariat hybrids and love them. I now have about 13K miles on mine and my driving is 70% highway and 30% city and I still am above 40mpg since I took possession. I normally do about 38-39 on highway and 44-46 in town. Hope you many years of happy Mavericking.

Got mine in September (can't remember the exact date right off hand but I think it was the 16th. I KNOW it was a Saturday) and am going to get gas today after work for the first time since.

Nice dealer - mine left me 5 gallons which I had to pay for! I just assumed a full tank was one more nice gesture gone like so many other things

Fuel isn’t a nice gesture by the Dealership, you paid for it. On my 2023, the “fuel charge” on my factory invoice was $52.65

Back in the day you drove off the lot with a full tank, courtesy of the dealership (I’m 66)
Just like friends, family and strangers would throw a quarter to a dollar in your new vehicle to say “congratulations“. that’s gone too
