I figured out what the pocket is for.....does anyone know where the controls are?

I can't exactly remember but some cars may have had the option. Probably not the Maverick car. Of course most music nerds could easily hang an aftermarket one under the dash and splice in the wires. I used to put them into the glove box area. I think that I may have installed and then moved the one we put into the 69 LTD into the 73 LTD.Throw back to the original mavericks? Was an eight track an option back then? I can’t say I remember.

When I lived in CO I bought a new 1976 Maverick. It only came with an AM/FM stereo if memory serves me right; no 8 track or CD player. After market was available for both although the 8 track was likely tailing down by that point.Throw back to the original mavericks? Was an eight track an option back then? I can’t say I remember.
I’m not sure about the 8 track in an early Maverick. But I had a new 1970 Grabber Yellow one. No glove box just a shelf below the dash.Throw back to the original mavericks? Was an eight track an option back then? I can’t say I remember.
A compact disk in a new ‘76 Maverick would be quite a collectors edition since compact disks were not available until ‘82.When I lived in CO I bought a new 1976 Maverick. Good catch. I knew it had neither but forgot when CDs became the in thing.A compact disk in a new ‘76 Maverick would be quite a collectors edition since compact disks were not available until ‘82.
