I just installed these so I figured I'd share my thoughts for those that are interested.

First off, why did I pick Rokblokz? I picked these almost entirely because they seem like they would mostly mitigate the gap in the rear driver side wheel well that allows crud from the tire to get shot up behind the tail light. Otherwise I might have picked something less expensive.

Secondly these will not rub against your paint which is apparently a possible issue with some flaps out there.

Okay, with that out the way how do they seem?

The flaps themselves are relatively stiff but when push comes to shove they seem like they would bend. The install hardware seems decent. The washers are metal and painted (anodized?) black. The screws are not black. I'm not sure if they are SS or if they'll rust. It's early yet. It seems like they would be easy to replace if needed. The plastic inserts you screw into seemed fine. No issues yet. There are also some push in plastic rivet things that seem fine.

The install was pretty easy.

Tools:
-flat head screwdriver for removing plastic rivets
-Flashlight
-Socket/wrench for removing screws on rears
-Phillips driver on a ratchet (I stuck a Phillips head in a socket because I didn't have the real thing)
-Level if you want to be really anal

Removing the plastic rivets was easy. If you plan on saving them note that there are different sizes. They are not all interchangeable. Also, when I removed the factory installed screws on the rear wheel wells they seemed very loose. Something in general to watch out for. I did the install in my dark garage without issue. Took about 15-20 minutes.

The flaps look good. I went with all black and they don't look out of place at all.

I'd be happy to answer any questions potential buyers have.

You've pretty much summarized why I installed RockBlokz mudflaps in the spring to replace FORd OEM ones. They have not moved or loosened up since the installation. I'd say that it's the mudflaps, not the installer.... ;):ROFLMAO:

I tightened them down pretty good but I was as little nervous I might overdo it and strip threads or break something. I did not use loctite or similar but if they seem like they loosen over time I might. Sounds like you aren't having an issue though.

I've been checking mine on occasions and they seem to be holding on well. Maybe it is the installer after all.... 😂 😂

I agree with you, OP. I have the black on black flaps from Rokblokz and am happy with the look and function so far (less spray on the doors for sure!). Install was easy! Get a body clip removal tool and you won't worry about breaking clips.

Checked the flaps after a couple weeks and they are still level as when I installed them.

I found the screwdriver to be fine (I was careful) but I'm sure a purpose built tool would be better.

I've got a set that has been on 2 Mavericks for around 25k miles total. I have not done any off-roading but I think they're flexible enough to bend if you dragged it a bit, instead of ripping out of the fender liner.

I have black decals because I wanted it to be nearly invisible, but it looks like those are still on all 4, too. Very happy with them and they're worth it.

Excellent write-up. I installed my rokblokz within an hour of picking up my Maverick. I flew out-of-state and so I dropped the wife off at a mall and install the mud flaps and tailgate lettering while she shopped. Win win in my book.

My only issues:

- Silver headed screws. How hard would it be for the company to use black screws? I painted mine black before install.

- A small amount of muddy water can get behind the flaps and drip down the backside. My OCD says I need to somehow put a thin "gasket" along the tops of the flaps to divert this fluid to the side. I know, I know, it's a small detail.

Otherwise, I love them. I got red logos, which I think look great with the red of the taillights and the red outlined tailgate letters.

I agree black screws would look nicer but it doesn't bother me too much. I almost bought the red lettering. It looks nice in the pictures I've seen.

I'm interested to see how the washers hold up. Like will the black coating just get destroyed and they'll be silver?

Early production ones were black oxide coating, but stainless steel and especially a surface of it that's already been oxidized (remember, rust is a product of oxidation) isn't absolutely impervious to rust especially versus salt water. Some folks got all hot and bothered that their stainless hardware was developing surface rust and maybe not stainless.

I put mudflaps on my mav but think I wasted my money.there is no paint to protect with all the plastic cladding! Especially in the back.

I installed the blue Rokblokz. The black washers looked terrible on the blue mudflaps. I took them back off and spray painted the washers a similar blue color and they looked much better.

even if there was nothing to protect (the splash marks on my door from before I put the flaps on tell me there is), note the gaping hole in the rear driver wheel well I mentioned. you can see some splatter up there and I don't think I had even driven the truck 100 miles yet.

I have the same ones on my Maverick. I installed them about the beginning of June. Easy enough to install and seem to do a pretty good job. I didn't know one thing when washing the vehicle be cautious not to push it away from the inner fender well or they might pop loose. They seem to do a pretty good job of keeping the road spray off the side of the truck other than in the rain when turning which would be impossible to prevent unless they stuck out about another foot or so:)
