i had brought this up 2 years ago. and i really don't like it . it's a truck and should be a shift if there is s way to change it i would do it in a hot second

I have the same system in my 22 Ford Edge. It took some getting use to but I am on board.
My problem with electronic shifters is how to move to neutral if the battery dies and you need to move your truck.

Same for electric parking brake. Having a jump box becomes more important!

I freakin' LOVE the dial shifter!!! I decorated my Lariat with a purple silicone ring around it!! As Jean Luc Piccard would command; "ENGAGE!"

If you are left handed it could be a hassle but, I'm right handed and it's really "handy".

My other vehicle is a Pacifica which has a similar shift knob higher up on the dash. I've reached for the volume knob multiple times in the Maverick by mistake.
Still need to look down to shift to R which I'm not a fan of.

I don’t have my Mav yet but I do have a Bronco Sport now and it has the same shifter and I really like it. I prefer it over a regular shift because it frees up so much room in that area especially in a smaller overall space to begin with. I’m a fan.

I’m an old school type guy myself. It was a little weird at first but now it’s kinda grown on me and I like it. Takes up lot less room than other types of shifters too which is nice.

At first I was so-so about it. I miss the clicks of a prindle. After I used it a while and realized you can just push the stop button and it goes into park, I warmed up to it. My daughter hates it, just saying. She has an escape 2017 EB.

Hate it in any vehicle, usually turn the radio or heating down rather than putting it in park.
