For those who say why do, it's on the app, this is a post from a Facebook Maverick group post, "
My remote start isn't working through Ford pass anymore, I have tried everything, I checked settings in truck to make sure it was on,Cleared Data and Cache, Uninstalled app from phone, restarted phone and installed fordpass again, restarted phone again. I Can lock and unlocked doors but not start Truck. I get a message saying failed to start. Anyone have this issue and find a fix, or do I have to take in to dealer. The last time I used it was in May with no issues at that time"

Many of the replies stated that they too have had this issue.
If this is true, what had Ford stated? I'm wondering if the module inside the truck that receives the signal is the reason.

Hey Mavheads,

I just successfully added Remote Start to my 2023 EB for just $99. Super easy (about 10 minutes install). Uses standard key fob (lock-unlock-lock). Works like a charm. Only cost $99. Just in time for the wet/cold Oregon winter.

Find it here: https://remotestartx.com/2023-ford-maverick-standard-key-remote-starter/

If you're looking to add remote start for cheap using the standard fob, I recommend this option!

Cheers!

Didn't you get that on phone app? I love the app. Last month sitting on a plane I couldn't recall if I locked the truck and bingo, locked from 3C. Upon return I started it when I was walking out of terminal and it was nice to get into a cooled car.

But, my order says WiFi delete, as though that should be some kind of treat!

How does your FordPass connect with your Mavi?
Very well! Lol. Every time I try it works.

If it doesn't work with hybrids, this is a great option that does, FORD PERIMETER PLUS VEHICLE SECURITY SYSTEM. Including installation (although I've heard it's not that hard to do yourself), it's $305 ($245 w/o). I got mine with points, ended up costing me about $35. A big plus is that besides the remote start, you get the Ford Perimeter Plus Vehicle Security System.

If you go to fairway Ford they're under $200 shipped. If you want to use ford points you just email support.

Activating connectivity so you can use the Ford pass app tracks the crap out of me I really don't think Ford should have that much data. So I will be looking for something like this.

So, with the Ford App
Honestly, the key fob is quicker and easier. I plan to get one of these as remote start was the only option I miss. I camp too often to rely completely on FordPass.
I get the camping issue, but if I want to remote start my Maverick, I bet I will be inside, and could use my phone as easily as finding my key fob. I think it’s just personal preference, but I’ll try the free option before the pay option.

Where or how do you see this tracking? I don’t have my Maverick yet, so I can’t try it. I agree that I kind of don’t want Ford to know everyplace that I go.

I should trust Ford then. Not like a new CEO after a bad dividend could change a companies plans or what they said they would do.

Today the remote starter is $100. It's well worth it to me knowing that no matter what Ford, a phone mfg, a tech change does, I will have a remote start.

I use the app and the fob. Depends on what is close at hand.
Good Point(s)!

Except there's no guarantee that Ford will be supporting the app in five to ten years. Hell, there's no guarantee that even if Ford wants to support it that they could if the cellular system that runs it gets obsoleted (this has shut down plenty of cellular connections on earlier vehicles)

Some of us plan on driving our trucks for the next ten years, and I want my remote start to keep working the whole time.
There’s also no guarantee that this third party seller will be in business, or be able to support connectivity after the next year or so.

Oh, using FacePlant for a “scholarly resource”?

Just Kidding….
