Here's another reason to install Ford Perimeter Plus so you can remote start with your factory key fob! Someone else has this message for one of their Fords. Their oldest one is a 2019. I had a 2017 Mustang that was on my Fordpass then around 2020 or 2021 none of the Fordpass features worked any more. The Mustang showed up but all I could do was see oil life and mileage. Looking like Ford doesn't support new cars on Fordpass forever. So those planning to keep their truck long term may end up losing the remote start/lock/unlock and so on from their Fordpass at some point. I'll keep remote starting with my factory key fob when that happens!

This looks like the prices are in Pounds Sterling so England/UK. Wonder if Ford's going to do the same over here in the US/Canada? Fordpass could be a free short lived thing then become an expensive hobby. Cheaper in the long run to install Ford Perimeter Plus!

The app is easy, but if it means a lot to you there are ways to add it. The bonus of the app is it works from inside your office or house, you don't have to go to a window to get it to work.

Ya. I unlocked my truck from several miles away when I left it at the exhaust shop before they opened. I didn't see any key drop box there.

I have an XL and added Ford Perimeter Plus and enabled it with Forscan software so now I can remote start with my factory key fob when Ford Pass isn't working. I picked it up from ebay for less than the dealership was charging. It's much quicker to remote start with my key fob than it is via the Ford Pass app. You also gain a better alarm system with this. It's part number Ford Part number KN1Z-19A361-A
