I had a similar experience when I ordred mine yesterday, I asked my sales guy at least 3 times if remote start was part of any of the packages or standard equipment on my order and he was sure it was. I then came here and found the actual option code and called back, he was able to add it to the order even though it had already been confirmed via email.

We are the opposite....we use the remote start to get the AC going 😆
I suppose I might be convinced if I understand the behavior of the remote start with the Hybrid model. Say if I remote start the vehicle in the garage, will it actually engage the ICE and fill the garage up with carbon monoxide while it warms up? Or will it just turn on the electric motor to drive the AC for a few minutes before I get in the car?

NEVER (remotely) start a vehicle with an ICE in an enclosed residential garage. Even a plug-in hybrid with a charged battery that's plugged in. You never know when it's going to determine the ICE is needed to generate enough heat etc.

That's what I thought. So remote start is still mostly useless for me since my most likely use case would be to turn it in while it's on the garage and I don't want to risk fuming the garage out with carbon monoxide.

The ICE can can come on at any time once the vehicle is turned on when the vehicle thinks it needs to charge the traction battery.
I don't have mine yet but it is my understanding the the hybrid heater works off the ICE coolant just like a conventional ICE vehicle.

I also ordered a 2023 Lariat with the luxury package and was expecting a remote start button on my key fob and didn’t know that it was not included.
