An update to my post from a year ago - the Rain-X Latitudes worked great, almost a full year. I park outside the whole time and between bad winters and hot summers they get exposed to it all.

A few weeks ago I did buy a slight upgrade, the Rain-X Silicone Endura Wiper Blades, 21" for passenger and 22" for driver - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0857KD4FG

Install was a little annoying to find the right fit, I don't remember the Latitude being that bad.
I sprung for the Endura and found the frustrating part was using the correct adapter. I knew I needed to take off the one that came on the blades, but did not notice there were two alternates. I slapped the "thin" one on and then tried to install......did not go well. Also did not realize there was a "back side" to the instructions. Ohh well.

Did you wipe your new blades down with alcohol? I did and got a surprisingly dark line on my paper towel considering they are brand new.

You can flip the blades on the OEM wipers. There are plastic caps on the ends that just need to be gently pried open and slid off. Slide the wiper in the opposite way and replace the end caps. Actually very surprised by the OEM blades and have been better than even some Bosch ones I would usually go for. Given that I can just use a rubber safe cleaner and remove them, I'll just flip them once every 6 months or so.

Part numbers:
WW2054
WW2249

Considering you can't even remove the inner rubber housing on some (most) of the more expensive replacements without breaking them, I'll stick with the OEM ones for the Maverick. I'm not wasting money on wiper blades like I have in the past trying to experiment for the "best" one. It's all a marketing gimmick. Get ones you can service and use them for a VERY long time.

Also, do not use alcohol on wiper blades. Alcohol will begin to break down the rubber at a much more rapid pace. Never use alcohol on rubber. Silicon safe 303 or simply just a warm damp cloth.

Driver's side is 22" and passenger is 21". I saw some Michelin wipers cheap at Costco, so I bought a set. https://www.costco.com/michelin-beam-wiper-blade-guardian.product.4000179786.html

I quickly realized that they're more than 1/2" shorter than the OEM wiper blades. They work great, but I think I know part of the reason they're cheaper!

While annoying, the shorter blade changes literally nothing on the driver's side and on the passenger side the unswept area is not in an area I look out of much, anyway. That's why it's unswept right? LOL.

I went to my mechanic to replace the wipers with Bosch but we couldn't get them to fit. We tried what is recommended for Escape and Bronco Sport.

Generally the OEM wipers are ok, but they were awful in a snow storm. Froze up and stopped clearing the top third of the windshield, because they stayed stiff and didn't follow the curve.
Ahh my Lux Package will have the wiper defrost.

Yeah....as I was doing it I was thinking that while it would clean the heck out of them, it was not good for the rubber long term. I'm not going to lose any sleep over doing it once on brand new blades, but I am also not going to repeat it every month or two or whatever folks say they do to "maintain" their blades. The windshield is coated in Gyeon Q² View, so the wipers should not have to do much work anyway.

As others mentioned the left side is NZ6Z17528BA and the right is NZ6Z17528A for MY22 models. The left blade is 23 inches long and the right is 21.

I use RainX glass cleaner (and windshield washer fluid). I do wipe the blade though as well..

Not on the '24 models.

Did you mean 22" and 21"?

thanks for the write up.
Need a bit of clarity.
"Flip" blades? What does that mean specifically. I would like to do that.
"End caps"? Meaning the caps that hide the spline that hold wiper arm in place?
I did see ford dealer wants $19 per blade.

@Montana , Thanks for the tip about the OEM blades:

I cleaned them, pried off the ends with a stubby screwdriver and flipped the blades today (+ wiped them down with some 303).

After reinstalling, they look brand new !

I had to cut a notch in the wiper blades for them to fit properly so just keep that in mind. Where one notch was in the other side, it will still fit without cutting but it fits better if you make that notch on the other side of the rubber since it was flipped. Kinda stupid they even put a notch there and I wish the ends didn't need pried off, but easy job overall huh! You just got another (insert duration you change wiper blades at) of life out of them!

I like to take a teflon safe scrubber and run it across as well to get off any debris from the rubber. I use these but you can get them cheaper and they last. I keep two in my truck cleaning kit and they have been there for years. Safe to use on the trucks paint too! So good for the tuff bugs that don't want to remove their guts from my vehicle before they die... dark...

I recently replaced the wiper blades on my Silverado with a similar type of blade (Trico) and plan to flip those blades too.

🔖 Bookmarked this thread to remind me about cutting notches on the other side when I flip them next.

There is an easy way to get the right ones. I've been ordering from Aero Wiper Blades for several years now. These are high quality and have worked well for me in all seasons. Oh yeah, just $20 for the pair! Just tell them the Make/Model/Year and they'll send you the correct ones. Aero Wiper

I also have used the Michelin Guardian wiper blades from Costco, 22 inch drivers side, 21 inch passenger side. They have similar bulky look to the oem wipers and worked well. Only $7 each at Costco. Just bought another set today.

I just ordered and installed these from Amazon

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0843D1QCG?ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_asin_title&th=1

They come with the adapter to attach to the wiper arm. I installed included adapter onto wiper blade then installed onto wiper arm. Entire process took 10 minutes. I was able to easily change with wipers in "resting" position. Didn't bother with the wiper "service position".

I came here last night looking to see what the solution to this was after buying my go-to wiper blade replacements and discovering that the Maverick didn't use the J Hook. At that point was after hours at the store I bought them from, and I didn't want to wait on shipping for other blades, so I took a couple hours and designed an adapter that uses the pinch tab connector on the stock blades and converts it to the J Hook connector. Spent an hour today with my wipers running on high to test the durability, and am happy with how it was working. This is printed in PETG, and should hold up to both the heat and cold pretty well. I'd be happy to provide a link to the file and my Etsy shop where I sell little things like this that I design for myself and others might find useful too.
