darn, of course I just had my Mav serviced what looks like two days before the fix came out on the 16th. . I did get a new battery and other recalls done but not the test/fix you posted about.
I purchased and easily installed a Truxedo proX15 purchased soft tonneau cover thru Realtruck. Perfect fit. Love it. Good quality and great price during Black Friday sale last year. FYI, I called or emailed them and mentioned this forum when getting the great Black Friday price.
I also have used the Michelin Guardian wiper blades from Costco, 22 inch drivers side, 21 inch passenger side. They have similar bulky look to the oem wipers and worked well. Only $7 each at Costco. Just bought another set today.
Best tip i read from previous related threads re install of this was to tape cover up around hitch and top edge to avoid scratches in cover when forcing it in around/behind the hitch. Tight fit.
Luv the way my 2023 hybrid XLT drives. Bought one without test drive. Picked up in Nov. 23 after long wait. Great mpg around town. Fits my needs. Got a lot of ideas for aftermarket accessories from this forum- happy with them too.
lol, luv the title to post. I am seeing more of the older rangers these days. More then I see Mavericks. Surprisingly many without much rust considering I live in PA where they use salt grime. Hope the Mav's hold up as well.
Similar thing happened to my new Honda Pilot at 800 miles. Had to get it towed in to nearest dealer. Honda came out to inspect. Apparently someone didn’t tighten something down right at the factory. Upsetting at the time but ended up putting over 200k trouble free miles on that pilot afterwards.
Just installed a Truxedo pro 15 tonneau yesterday and raining today. Am curious about how much water will seep in. Plan to check later today or tomorrow. When installing I did notice some gaps in the truck bed plastics that you noted that might let water in. Thought the seals on the cover...
