Wow... can't we agree on some middle ground? Maybe at least to agree to disagree?

The Maverick isn't delayed, they are shipping (just not the Hybrid yet)
The Hybrid is delayed if only for shipping due to waiting for the EPA and Ok to buy

The whole start shipping in Fall and dates is nitpicking. I wish I knew when the EPA approval would come but I don't think there is any reason for Ford to prioritize Hybrids which will end up sitting when they could produce trucks they can ship. Don't get me wrong, I am waiting for my ordered Hybrid but since I can't get it before it's been approved to buy/sell, there is no Rush for it to be built.
I agree, I would rather all the fixes/tweaks happen while it is being built versus having MY truck sit out in a desert. Where they send a guy with about 100 (fixes) out to do a rush job in the parking lot.

EPA testing not Ford testing.

EPA is a government agency so who knows what their timeline is.
I don't think we know why the testing is happening now instead of earlier -- or why it is taking more time rather than less time.

I'm certain I don't know who is at fault, or if anybody is at fault.

The only saving grace is that I don't really care about any of that.

We know how slow government agencies work
Does it take the EPA longer to do this testing than it takes Ford to do it?

How much longer?

There have been some dealers telling their customers that hybrid vehicles are delayed and won't be available for 6-8 months. Some saying there are thermal issues.

I want everyone to know they are NOT correct.

Hybrid scheduling and production continues each week.

OKTB (okay to buy) is pending EPA testing.

Information straight from the Maverick team.
Nah, I don’t buy it. I still think leprechauns stole the EPA data. Ford has shady history of exploiting Leprechauns for cheap labor, their pots of gold, and their delicious marshmallow cereal. It really shouldn’t surprise anybody they stole the data. My sources told me the 2022 models won’t be delivered until January of 2024. Yeah, true story. I know a guy who swears it’s true.

… not to mention, what does the Fordvideoguy know anyway… besides, well, just about everything about Mav production. 😂🤣😂

FYI… The Thrill Is Gone was a hit song by B.B. King…not Fats Domino. 😊
If you want to cancel your order, there IS the Fats Domino song… I’m Walkin’! 😂
Unlike Ford I will admit I am wrong & stand corrected. 8)

I wasn't given a firm delivery date, so to me the hybrid is not delayed. I do however have accessories showing up, so I'll be ready for a weekend of putting those on.

Thanks @fordvideoguy for this info. It's much appreciated.

I'm not changing my order. I'm still extremely excited to get my truck.

If Ford would just hire me as head of Public Relations, I would create an online “newspaper” called THE F-WORD. I would appoint a staff to gather information and statistics pertaining to any and all current Ford news, and statistics that showed things like the numbers of new orders, builds, scheduled builds, shipped builds, etc., for all Ford vehicles. These stats would be posted daily in the F-WORD. Then I would draft a form letter whose purpose is to acknowledge buyers’ order placements. Because of uncertainties in the supply chain, this would not deal with any specifics such as build or delivery dates. This letter would simply assure buyers that they have been placed in the system, and at some point would receive more detailed information about their order. This form letter would be provided to Ford dealers, and it would be their responsibility to send this letter to their buyers after receiving conformation from Ford that the order had been properly acknowledged and entered into the build que. This system would, of course, devastate online forums, which are packed with anxiety-ridden buyers who need someplace to vent their frustration and disappointment, but you can’t have everything.

See at least Tim the Maverick guy seems to know what is really happening and informs this group of "Stampeding herd of Hybrid Mavericks" from going over a cliff after someone spook's them. Hell I even get spooked once in awhile on this site. And If anyone quotes me, Quote everything I said. I don't like being misrepresented. Thank you!

Ford actually wants to ship and sell vehicles. I wouldn't be surprised if they are slow walking hybrid production so they don't get a pile of them just sitting at the factory for no reason, when they could be getting other customer's 2.0T Mavericks built and delivered.

Hi. Ford here. We have your application and it's very impressive.

But we'd like to know a little more about these "restraining orders" you mentioned.

We don't want to pry, but could you tell us exactly which six states you are forbidden to enter?

This is the most logical. Why build something you cant sell yet and build and ship thing you can. I would guess they will try get as many retail 2.0 order build and shipped before they get the ok to sale for the hybrid. Then make a big run on thoses.

Except, Ford has said since the beginning of production that hybrids would be constrained to 30-40% of total production. The slow production and EPA testing delayed shipping are, by all accounts, completely separate issues.
