My rollover order has not been changed to priority 2. I noticed my name is listed slightly differently on the 23 and 24 orders. I wonder if this is holding it up?
Yes, that might be the reason (as long as order code and sales code match)

For everyone with a priority code of 2, were you able to confirm if you're 23 order was still open or not? I've spoken to a few Ford agents this morning to try and get some answers, unfortunately nothing helpful regarding the priority code as they say only the dealer can make those adjustments (guess what the dealer says?)

But the last agent, who was a bit more candid (she flatly said they aren't allowed to talk about the priority code, even though she can see it right there), she did tell me that my 23 order was still open in addition to the 24, so my guess would be that the 23 is holding the priotiy at 10 since that's what it has been. Not sure why that would still be open, but she said that was good as there's still a chance for the 23 to get scheduled.

I'm taking all info with a grain of salt, but I thought others might be interested.

The 23MY is still open because they’re still officially scheduling for builds. Once they make the changeover to 24MY it should be dropped.

I'd say the permission to discuss priority codes depends upon the dealer. If they are the type that takes bribes for someone to jump line, they don't want to let you know about your current assignment even if it is a good priority. You might get offended if you find out they care more about maximizing their NIBT than satisfying their customers.

If it is a dealer that uses logic and is earnestly trying to be fair with all their customers like Long McArthor Ford appears to be doing, they'll be open about it.

As for my dealer, they might think they are too busy to answer what they consider to be pesky questions. I sent an email concerning the priority code to see if it transitioned, and received no response. Waited a full day and contacted Ford chat from this thread and received an answer in a matter of minutes.

Of course with the Ford chat, they tell you the best place to get answers is from your [non responsive -ed] dealer, and the canned answer of 'your Maverick is in processing, ...will be scheduled the first available production week, and ...delighted to see your excitement..., ...is there any other questions I can help you with today' etcetera. Then when you ask the same question again, you'll get the answer.

The number one complaint I've seen concerning dealers is their lack of communication. If they could get that piece of the puzzle figured out...

Maybe they could let someone working there other than the manager to have access to the data concerning customer orders. The people under management should be something more than a smiling face and an empty facade. If they could actually be trusted with the information to help the customer then they could ease the load of their superiors which would result in more getting done and less frustrated customers.

Just a thought.

My 24 order is in the system. Yesterday, it was a priority 4. Today it is a priority 3. Why would my order not be a 2? It is a 23 rollover. I have talked via chat and call marketing. My 23 order was a priority 10, but it looks like no chance to get the 23.

Thanks I didn’t realize that changed from year to year. Thought it was just to differentiate hybrid or EB or Tremor. Appreciate the help!
Ford made changes to the body codes for 24, they now have one for each trim/hybrid/Ecoboost/tremor. So it looks like this now

I couldn't resist - I had to ask too!

I pre-ordered an Atlas Blue 2024 AWD Ecoboost with a black appearance package. The dealer submitted the order on July 17, 2023. I read somewhere that the priority code also has something to do with the dealer. That would make sense since I was the 4th or 5th order of the 10 allotted to the dealer that I have a priority code of "14."

I ordered a '24 on July 17 in Indianapolis and the priority code for me is 13. Dealer had 10 slots and I got #7.

You can have a Priority Code of 13.....and several others at that Dealer can have that Priority code too! If I recall correctly, Priority 10 is the lowest your Dealer can assign. Ford can assign the lower codes after reviewing orders. My Lariat Hybrid was never below PC 16 that I am aware of. I know at one time there were at least 3 other Hybrids at PC 16 for that Dealer. What it comes down to is commodities and allocation. If they have the stuff to build an XLT, but not an XL or Lariat, and the Dealer has an allocation Ford will build what best suits the parts they have available. All may have the same Priority Code, but only those that fit Fords commodity schedules will be considered for scheduling.

Ford has now opened it up for dealers to put orders in with priority codes 3-19. It used to be that only Ford could move an order to a priority code of 3-9 and dealers had access to 10-19. dealers can use the system to put in priority of when they ordered(i.e. ordered Sept 15= pc 10 sept 16= pc 11 sept 17= pc 12) but alot of dealers will either not change the priority code from the automatic 19 that all orders are given when they are initially made. or they put everyone at the same priority code, usually a 10. a priority 1 or 2 is only assigned by ford and a priority 20 is for stock orders. they look at priority codes first then look at the builds of the orders and grab ones that meet what they have parts for and meets the commodity constraints

Sarah do you have a copy of the memo telling dealers to move their 23 to 24 reorders to priority code 3? My dealer still thinks they can only do 10-19.
