  1. Hybrid question

I've only put on about 450 miles on this thing so far, but I've noticed with slightly hilly conditions (and occasionally on straight aways), if it's chugging away on hybrid mode (ie, gas engine is on) and doesn't seem to want to engage into electric, I find if I let off the accelerator just a...
  2. Are many hybrid owners still getting the grabby brakes? '22 Maverick Hybrid

Like others have noted, mine seem to only be a little grabby when it's wet or raining out. Mine's a 24 model that I've had for maybe a month. The grab is only like in the last 3-5% of the stop, so not a big deal, but a change that's noticeable.
  3. Maverick EV reportedly on hold until early next decade [⚠️ LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS]

Sorry, I wasn't saying you could have a larger capacity battery for less power, I was saying the time it takes to charge a battery can be lessened with more efficient batteries. "Scientists, including those at universities, at major electric vehicle manufacturers and at the Department of...
  4. Maverick EV reportedly on hold until early next decade [⚠️ LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS]

Gotcha, well I agree that with any tech there are hurdles. Personally I don't think faster charging will be solved with more power, rather with more efficient batteries. What we have now is serviceable, but I think we can all agree lithium batteries are not the long term solution.
  5. Maverick EV reportedly on hold until early next decade [⚠️ LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS]

But no one is suggesting we put Tesla superchargers in our homes. Those are for fast charging highway use. Using a level 2 charger at home will charge a 300 mile EV in 6-8 hours. For the grand majority of people, that is more than enough in terms of charging time because really, most people...
  6. Maverick EV reportedly on hold until early next decade [⚠️ LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS]

That's cool, then I too shall end with some links. Granted, the media can't be trusted to give a clear picture on anything in today's world, so I'll take my links and yours with a grain of salt. Despite the bad press, half of America is still considering an EV or hybrid car — they just want...
  7. Maverick EV reportedly on hold until early next decade [⚠️ LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS]

EV sales are up every quarter, in spite of demand "slowing". What the domestic manufacturers did was focus too heavily on the luxury segment, and that market has its limits. Very similar to what was happening in the 1910-20's. Most manufacturers focused on the luxury market. Hell, my hometown...
  8. Maverick EV reportedly on hold until early next decade [⚠️ LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS]

Ha, we'll agree to disagree. It may feel political on the surface (to some), but the truth is we're holding our guns to a finite resource, one that's slated to run out before the end of this century if we continue with 2022 consumption rates. So we're going to have to figure something out...
  9. Maverick EV reportedly on hold until early next decade [⚠️ LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS]

I agree with some of your points. Many of the larger manufacturers are losing money, which is not at all surprising, it's a big investment to almost entirely reconfigure your manufacturing process. And yes, these manufacturers are scared to take that risk, because they are antiquated and...
  10. Maverick EV reportedly on hold until early next decade [⚠️ LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS]

Narrator: They won't Hate to break it, but they are hear to stay. The broader world is shifting, and we either try to lead the trend, or we get left behind and find ourselves driving Chinese EV's. Someone made an interesting analogy regarding cell phones. When smart phones came out, they were...
  11. Failed Brakes

Is this a growing trend? A first time poster comes in noting something horrifically wrong with their Maverick, usually ending with their declaration to get rid of the truck and then are never heard from again. I drive my two little girls around in this truck, so certainly these sort of issues...
  12. Being Shipped - how long will that take?

My initial estimate was between Feb 18 - Mar 3rd, and then it randomly got bumped up a week to Feb 11 - Fed 24. After it shipped out, it updated again to Feb 13 - Feb 24. I was fully expecting to be waiting to the latter end or later (I'm in PA, so that's a cross country trip). Got a call from...
  13. CACTUS GRAY Maverick Photos Thread

Finally got my Maverick after almost 2 years of waiting. I absolutely love the Cactus Gray!
  14. Production moved up by a week. - Final Preparation

Just an update that I got my "built" confirmation email yesterday, so seems things are still trucking along, albeit a little bit slower than hoped.
  15. Production moved up by a week. - Final Preparation

I got the same email last night. After digging around in other threads, it sounds like people were getting these message in the past as well, and ended up getting their truck despite the message. Not sure if it's a glitch or what. As far as I can tell, my truck is pretty much built (modules...
  16. Stuck "In Production"

As far as I know, the info will just appear in the tables, no need to download the file. Should look something like this... Beyond that I'm not sure what the holdup could be.
  17. Private Offer 23 to 24

Mine is still currently in production, but the moment mine was scheduled and I got the VIN, my dealer called me up and already had access to the private offer. She printed it out and texted me a photo of the doc, and it looks like it comes from their DRIVE system (Dealer Reporting, Incentives &...
  18. Stuck "In Production"

Mine has also seemingly been stuck in production since even before last week (it moved into production the preceding week). However, as someone noted, if you check the modules page you can get a glimpse of additional activity. For me, it appears that the modules have been activated and...
  19. Christmas Raffle! Three winners will get Muslogy's Christmas Gift

First mod will be to size some 2x4's to create compartments in the bed. Then a whole holder slot for the cubby, and lastly a tonneau cover to keep everything nice and dry.
  20. 2024 Maverick Clean-up Scheduling This Week (12/7/23) for Production Weeks 1/1/24 - 2/26/24

For what it's worth, my 23 to 24 rollover never had the priority changed below 10, despite weeks trying to get it rectified both with my dealer and with FordCo (both who deferred to the other). I eventually tired out and gave up trying to get it changed. But despite all of that, I was schedule...
