Does every F-150 try to race your Tremor?

I swear, if I pull up to a red light next to an F-150, They peel out as soon as the light turns green , Like almost every single time, it's so weird. My other car is a 2023 Corvette, and no one EVER tries to race me. I've had my Tremor for a week now, and at least 10 full-sized trucks have done burnouts and shit next to me, it's kind of annoying, and they lose control and get all squirrely half the time, they're gonna take someone out one of these times.

I don't have a Tremor, just a hybrid XLT. This has happened to me only once, and it was some guy in an F-150. No one in a Silverado, Titan, Taco, Ram, or Tundra has done this (yet).

LOL. Newer Supras and other Japanese cars do try against my Mustang, but they must just want to see how bad I'd beat them.

On the Highway once headed to the drag strip My friend who had never rode in my car (and is a die hard Dodge guy) said "Oh a GTR he's going to beat you" I looked at his stock looking tires and said no chance. GTR hovered back half a car length in the fast lane, while I'm just cruising at about 70. After a minute I decided to let my friend feel the 15# of boost. Shot up to 130 and let off, slowed back to 70. Then the GTR pulls up, gives me the thumbs up and slowly drives away.

I didnt have that problem on my road trip. We will see when it gets on island. Honestly I would just dust a few of em, they will tell the rest of em you're too fast at the next sewing circle.

That is 90% of trucks (and probably close to 60% of other vehicles) on the road where I live. And then I meet them 5 miles down the road at the same stop lol. Usually road work stopping traffic waiting to be escorted or a stop light in town.

Just stare out the window the whole time at the next stop light like Shia LaBeouf did to that Motorcycle rider...

They will always try to act nonchalant. Gotta love it.

I'm jk btw... I have dark tinted windows... I don't roll them down and I usually just laugh internally at their insecurities.

Even better getting passed by them on the highways while I'm getting great MPG's and you know they are into the teens just to get there 10 minutes earlier.

Gotta hand it to em when they actually make the light or get wherever they are going just that much quicker though... I feel like they really care about the achievement they unlocked.

it's just funny to me because in my 20s I used to only drive Mustangs, and every Civic, Camaro, etc. around would try to race (or provoke me into racing) me 24-7 it seemed. For the past 10 years, I've been driving Corvettes and almost nobody ever tries to race me or showoff, so I totally forgot all about that "culture." And now here I am again over a decade later driving my first-ever "truck" and it feels like I am back in my Mustang days again (except now I don't even consider racing anything in my Tremor), so I am just constantly watching these guys peeling out for no reason Every time I bring it out. Maybe it's a Reno thing?

I quit caring about being the first one off the light years ago. Especially since we just end up parked next to each other at the next one and having the slower driver pull right up next you is emasculating enough.

who cares? They are two slow ass trucks. I find it hilarious that these guys think they're "fast" in the first place. Ooohhh, you're faster than a Ford Maverick. That's like when an Accord races a Camry. They both lose.

I'm actually impressed with how quick my maverick is, considering it's a 4cyl.ived owned an 83 Z28,and a 85 mustang GT,both considered " muscle cars" back in the day.the mav would beat both of them.times change. I also own a cuda 340,I think the mav would give it a run for the money. Obviously what I think is fast and what you do is quite different.im also impressed by how the maverick tows my 3100 lb boat.seems the same as my hemi ram.

I mean, it might be fast for a truck, but there's no point in "racing" a Maverick to me, I guess. Even if it will win the race.

The large truck guys are trying to show they are superior, I have had this happen a few times at the light, the Maverick was quicker each time so far, the lights I am at are in 55 zone, so I only accelerate to 60, at that point they then have to pass me & then slow down. The most fun was one of those coal smokers, looked like an old time locomotive behind me & made a lot of noise too. It's usually those farms kids, so this old guy likes to mess with them.
