Looking at replacing my '24 Lariat 4K BAP w/16K miles with a '24 Lariat Tremor. Getting a pretty solid trade-in value, like the stance, tires, tow hooks, and similar interior to my current BAP. Same color (Atlas Blue).

I realize I may take a slight mpg hit w/the Tremor, anyone regret getting one? Don't off-road, but I assume it would have better winter (snow) capability.

Thanks, HRG

Stepson texted just me a photo of a Tremor emblem he's going to attach to where the decal is on the tailgate. He is going to remove the side decals on his CGray 24LT as well.
He's looking forward to launching his 17' duck boat at a variety of crappy launch sites this fall and winter hunting season. A couple that aren't actually launch sites, more like mud paths that end in water.
Long way of saying he loves his Tremor, gets 25 around here and 28 highway.
Me, couldn't be happier with my HPR 23LT.

If you are bored with yours, why not. One thing you won't ever think about is hitting your chin on a parking curb. If you ever feel the need to get wild in the winter or in some dirt somewhere, the bouncing around will be more fun and less punishing. Honestly I greatly prefer the look of the Tremor front end, it's more muscle car and less air dam obsession.

If you are thinking of switching to a Tremor then I think your mind is made up. 😋 Go for it. Whether you need the capabilities of a Tremor or not you'll love it. I have fully used my Tremor for what it has been designed for so for me it was worth the extra cash.

If you don't off road then I wouldn't. Looks like you have the 4k tow package on your current Mav. You would lose that and the transmission cooler. In my opinion the Tremor would be a downgrade from what you have. Put some A/T tires on yours and call it a day.. Or if you want something new go with a 25.

The only drawback to going with the Tremor is the lower towing rating, if you tow regularly you might miss the 4k package. I don't tow anything regularly that my Tremor won't handle so for me the advanced AWD system with it's increased off road capability, for those occasions that I use it, is worth it. The Tremor also has softer more compliant suspension which, IMHO, gives it a better ride over the road.

In the end only you can determine which version suits you as my opinion is just that, my opinion, and I'm not the one spending your money :giggle:

Everyone's needs are different, and opinions. So take my viewpoint or post with a grain of salt. No way would I give up, mileage, 4k towing capabilities, or high capacity radiator and the upgraded fan.

Another post mentioned different tires with a more aggressive tread if you worried about traction. I second that option. Also adding p235 from 225 gains 1/4 inch or .255 ground clearance. So a difference of 8.855 vs 9.3 which in most cases off road may not be noticeable and definitely not if you are not going off road.

Lastly nobody has a crystal ball. Yet looking at other threads of many having to trade or sell to upgrade to get the 4k is enough to realize it's peace of mind. Along with being prepared similar to a boy scout. Also having the high capacity radiator and the upgraded fan should translate to a longer running engine and less repairs besides being able to accomplish tasks without overheating.

Also are you prepared to take a hit and more stops at the gas pump?

I have a 2024 in the same color I love mine. I don't off road either but did good in what snow we had this year.

No regrets at all from me. I don't tow anything and love the more aggressive look and smooth ride quality. MPG isn't as bad as I thought it would be. I get a combined 24 mpg, but everyone's driving habits, environment, terrain and hwy/city mix is different. I don't think the front bumper effects the hwy mileage much at all. On a road trip I was getting close to 30 mpg on the hwy.

A consideration no one has brought up yet..... When I was doing my research before pulling the tremor trigger, I had concerns over the weak cv axles for the maverick. The more robust axles they use in the tremor helped me decide. Not sure how much better they actually are, but it certainly doesn't hurt!

After 18 months, I Love my 2023 Lariat Tremor...

I don't tow and I'm not obsessive about my MPG. Power, tractability and all wheel drive were my main goals. I like the fact I can lock the dual clutch differential and the variety of drive modes one can chose. I added the economy and sport modes via Forscan as well...

I'm very pleased, especially now as the price would be at least $5K more the way I optioned it.
