Looking at replacing my '24 Lariat 4K BAP w/16K miles with a '24 Lariat Tremor. Getting a pretty solid trade-in value, like the stance, tires, tow hooks, and similar interior to my current BAP. Same color (Atlas Blue).

I realize I may take a slight mpg hit w/the Tremor, anyone regret getting one? Don't off-road, but I assume it would have better winter (snow) capability.

Thanks, HRG
My only regret from going from an FX4 to a Tremor is giving up 4k towing.

Serious question....

You asked if you should get a truck designed for off-road environments but immediately said you don't off-road, why get the truck? When it comes to winter driving, the tires you put on the truck are going to have a far, far, far, greater impact on how it drives than compared to what the Tremor package will offer.

Bluntly, it is a terrible financial decision, and based off your own statement, a terrible decision from a practicality perspective.

At the end of the day it is your money and your choice.

The Maverick Tremor is not equiped to tow over 2000lbs. It also sacrifices everything else that I have posted. That being said if the majority of ones time is off road ing and no need to tow over 2000lbs it is a feasible option. Me I need the 4k and I don't see an advantage when a UTV can tow similar to the tremor, My hope is Ford offers 4k on the tremor as supposedly it's essence is a truck. I originally thought the loss of the high capacity radiator and upgraded fan may have been the reason for the 2000lb limit. After Ford offering 4k tow with the hybrid which I believe also doesn't have high capacity radiator or the upgraded fan leads me to believe something with the rear differential is or maybe the reason why they limit towing at 2000lbs or possibly the suspension.

Lastly if you can not tow over 2000lbs how can you use the tremor as a recovery vehicle and not anticipate problems down the road.

Hey I get it people abuse vehicles all the time. Even witnessed where someone never changed oil or oil filter and expected Ford to pay for an engine. Me I'm going to try to stay in the parameters Ford has suggested.
My apologies HuntersE

Apology accepted, I was sincere I am truly glad your enjoying your Tremor. Everyone's needs and likes are different. It's partially my fault, because I don't sugar coat it, and or I may not have articulated it well. In any case let's move on and enjoy our Maverick's.

My apologies to Hunters Edge, I didn't mean to ruffle any feathers. We should all be more like Maverickman74. He has a calm head and tells it how it is! If new buyers look hear they need good info for all models. For kicks if I need to tow something I just get out my 2011 Lincoln MKX ELITE that out tows ANY Maverick. Hope u enjoy your truck as much as I enjoy mine. Enough said from this crabby old man!

There really is no practical use for sports cars, but they sure do sell a lot of em.

Yes it is. At this point in my life, I don't even have to get out of bed in the morning. Dividends and interest do all the heavy lifting, creature comforts are more important to me than mpg.

As mentioned by others, my inquiry was toward those that HAVE a Tremor, your Hybrid doesn't fall into that category.

Chill, it takes their mind off CV joints and deep sleep issues. I'm glad they seem to have moved beyond, omg my engine is going to blow.

Congrats on putting a deposit down on a Tremor. It's a fun little truck and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine!

I have a 22 Lariat. My brother bought a 24 Tremor. I like it however loosing the 4k was a big deal to me. I do like the cloth seats better than the active x. Maybe because his is an xlt.

Oh, did I hit a soar spot? I don't care if I have a Tremor or not. You asked a question you answered yourself and I pointed it out. You asked if you should buy something you won't use.

It would seem someone of your financial prowess would know that is silly.

You do you.
