That $19,995 was never a realistic price. Kudos to those who wanted/got one at that underprice. Actually, if you got any model under $25k, it was a steal.A base XL has gone up from $19,995 to $23,400 and that is not counting the shipping going up from $1,495 to $1,595. So a $3,505 increase for the base XL Ecoboost. Even more for the hybrid that used to be the standard engine! Add another $1,500 or so for the hybrid. That is enough to slow down demand, in addition to the long wait times to get a truck.
Figure with that $19,995 number, Ford didn't have to spend ANY money on advertising (they still haven't). When we start seeing Maverick ads any where near the number of RAM ads that I see daily, then I'll believe Ford has passed the easily marketable price for a Maverick of any flavor.
