If you have a VIN then why are you putting in an order that Ford said they will cancel? I don’t get it.

I have a VIN for my '23 order but I contacted my dealer to express concern about a possible cancellation and no recourse on my next year's order. He said he'd look into it but I'm thinking I may ask him to submit a new order tomorrow and I'll cancel it when my truck is delivered.

I don't believe the order system will accept it as a rollover order if you already have a build week/date. Could possibly submit it as a regular order with no priority/private offer. If the dealer will accept it ( hearing some will not).

I was at my dealer at 9am. I turned over a copy of my build using the price sheet and they said they understood and would place it as soon as the order banks opened. Got a call 20 minutes after I walked out the door and they didn't understand the pricing sheet and that the Lariat came standard with EB + AWD, and the hybrid had to be added on.

4pm rolls around and send out a text asking if there was an update...nothing. 6pm rolls around, I'm in the gym w/o my phone and the dealer calls asking for an email address..ugh. They said something about trying to get the order in tomorrow, but I'm not optimistic. The one hour of the day I was unavailable AND they forgot to ask for an email. I'm just so frustrated right now.
Everyone knows on order days you have to be available 24 hours a day, phone, text, email, pager, snail mail, pony express, everything.

Did they take a copy of your drivers license or did they have it already?

Your order doesn't need to have a 2024 order if your 2023 is scheduled. You will get a 2023 and a 2024 if you do that.
I agree. I you have been scheduled at this point I don't see any reason why your Maverick will not get built.

If you get scheduled next month then it could be iffy.

I started my order process last week when the order guide appeared here. I walked into the dealership last Wednesday morning with an annotated hard copy highlighting the following:

Lariat Ecoboost AWD in Azure Gray Metallic
FX4 Package
4K Towing Package
17” Machine Face Wheels with AT tires
Splash Guards
Bed Extender
Hard Trifold Tonneau Cover
Block Heater
Floor Liners with Carpeted Mats

The sales rep said I made his job easy! The order was placed today and I received the confirmation e-mail earlier this evening.
Why order it with so many constraints? Slows the chance of being built way down.

I got my order email and I didn't even order it! My dealer must have taken my 23 order and just duplicated the order. Never asked if I wanted changes or anything so maybe they configured it for them and not me.

My dealer has confirmed to me they are “getting all 23 orders back into the system” when Ford picks it up, they will reach out to go over required changes and pricing/offer feedback.

Not inspiring, given then supplied the same response when I sent them my new build sheet and said “new build”

They had it already along with my 2024 order sheet which I delivered this morning in person and asked if they needed any other info. Yea, I get it. I put too much faith in the dealer. Cost me a Maverick but I guess I won’t make the mistake again. Back to looking for a new car.

Newish member here, but I've been lurking and learning for a while.

My dealer says all of their 2024 Maverick orders (including mine) got successfully entered and that the system almost crashed on them. Based on what they said, it sounds like the orders are queued up in the system pending acceptance. I'm not sure what that means, but he said I'll get an e-mail from Ford once mine goes through. Fingers crossed that I'll have an e-mail waiting for me in the morning or that one will show up sometime tomorrow.
Usually same day or next, mine same day. Ordered morning.
