I would think this is a common problem that had been mentioned before, but when I searched the forum I couldn't find it.

Today was driving my car like normal when I got out had dinner got back in the truck and the instrument cluster was dead. Couldn't tell what driving mode I was in, how fast I was going, or how much battery I was using. The whole area above the steering wheel was black except for a little green light that said ready.

Hopefully someone has had this problem and there is an easy fix. I don't want to bring this to the dealer and have them deal with it.

I have a 23, hybrid, XLT lux

There have been three or four reports of this behavior that I can recall over the past 1 1/2 years.

1. Check the brightness setting of the instrument cluster, the small + & - buttons near the headlight settings dial. Make sure it hasn't been accidentally bumped to the lowest level.
2. Do you have deep sleep warnings in Fordpass app? Sometimes wonky stuff happens when the 12v battery is low.
3. If it's not the above, call your dealer, the LED backlight might be faulty.

Have you tried turning the vehicle off then turn it on again? Did that solve the issue? If it did then keep an eye on it and if it continues to happen take it to the dealer for service.

First thing I did was check the brightness. It wasn't that. Damn I guess I'm heading to the dealer next week.4

Had the same symptom - .a cable behind the dash had corrosion and was not connecting to the back of the screen....Ford quickly diagnosed the problem but took 2-3 hours to pull plastic covers off to clean up the gable plug in...no issue since fixed.

Ford's account here will do nothing but put you in touch with a dealer. You can do that yourself
Sometimes, after you provide the relevant information, they will also contact the dealer on their own and that will put the dealer in a more receptive/ attentive mode when you show up.

Pulled the fuse this morning (assuming it was the right one based on the very simple fusebox legend.). The little yellow one next to the other little yellow one I think.Well, this didn't fix mine. Scheduling a service appointment right now. Damn... I hate going to the dealership.

Just curious did you hold the fuse up to the light to see if the fuse wire was blown?
