Scheduled oil change for my Maverick and while on the phone the service writer said hang for a second our manager said when you called to give you to him. I have done a lot of business at this dealer so I spoke to the manager who asked if I wanted to sell my Maverick. He offered one of three two being Big Bend trim and one a Heritage (which I really don't care for the white top). But none with the 2.0 EB. Considering the offer but the only thing that stumps me is the 1.5 EB reputation for being unreliable. Oh Decisions decisions. Mine is an XLT with 4K so I wonder should I see if he will find one with a 2.0 EB or has Ford corrected the issues with the 1.5?

Ford dealers are lousy with Bronco Sports right now. Can barely give them away.

Meanwhile they can't get any Mavericks to sell unless a customer refuses an order when it comes in.

Clearly you are in the cat bird seat! My question is why would you want to trade your highly desired Maverick for a dime a dozen Bronco Sport with a 3-cylinder engine?

Assuming you really like the BS, I still would not even consider it unless you are coming out a MINIMUM of $3,000 ahead.

After having a BS for a loaner during my airbag recall I know I wouldn’t trade my Maverick for any Bronco.

Explain as the deal I'm being offered is intriging but I haven't bit

If there were ever a deal for me to bite on, they would I believe have to find another 2.0 as the 1.5 has a bad rep

Sounds like the dealer isn't really treating you like the good customer he claims you are if he's offering a bad trade of a crappy 1.5 BS nobody wants for a Maverick that everyone wants.

How come? I've never been interested in a BS but never rode one either

How do you know that a dealership sales manager is lying and trying to take advantage of you? This is a trick question...

I can’t remember exactly what I didn’t like because I’m now in a 23 Explorer and I like this one even less than the Bronco. It just wasn’t for me. I love driving my Maverick and couldn’t wait to get it back.

I can’t really remember since I’ve now got a 23 Explorer that I like even less.

It has a pretty rough ride compared to my Maverick, it bounces over every irregularity in the pavement (in town), it’s pretty loud inside and I hear whistling in the windows I think. When I have my foot on the gas going the 40 mph speed limit the engine pulses/jerks. The seats are way too soft and I have to pull myself up to get in. As a smaller (5’5ā€) woman I find it uncomfortable.

1.5 issues are fixed.
I highly recommend you drive one. Have to see how it works for you.
I did drive a 1.5 BS, when replacing the wife’s Escape. It wasn’t too bad, but certainly not as peppy as the 2.0.
We also test drove a 1.5 Escape, that was horrible; believe it or not the tranny with the 1.5 in the Escape is geared different than the tranny with 1.5.
I also tested the rough idle. It is supposed to settle out once warm, the Escape I drove did not. You could see the engine shake, and could feel it in the steering at times. Most probably don’t notice, but I did.
Needless to say we got the 2.0 Escape.

We also felt the BS bounced too much. It has a fairly short wheelbase, shorter than the Escape. Way shorter than the Maverick.
